Namibia imposes new visa requirements

Highlights

  • Namibia to require visas for 33 countries effective April 1st 2025.

  • Countries include France, Germany, United States and United Kingdom.

Effective 1 April 2025, citizens from over 30 countries will be required to purchase a visa upon arrival. The cost is presently N$ 1600 per applicant, which is roughly $88 USD, 80 Euros or 68 GBP.

If Namibia has been on your list of places to visit, you might want to visit prior to April 2025, when the new visa requirements go into effect. Namibia is home to some of the world’s top game viewing destinations, such as Etosha National Park. May through September are some of the best months for game viewing and weather conditions. Mudumu National Park is located in Namibia’s panhandle and is know for its large elephant herds. April through October are the best months for visiting Mudumu.
