Carefully Selected Vehicles While on safari with Bush 2 Adventure we make it our highest priority to ensure you feel secure and comfortable. With many years of combined experience, we understand exactly what is required to create an environment for you to feel immersed, yet protected while traveling in the wild. Along with our expert guides, our extensive fleet of Land Cruisers and Land Rovers are well equipped to provide you with the perfect safari adventure you deserve. Immersive Experience Our vehicles are customized for each individual to make the most of their unforgettable experience. Not only there had to provide shade from the sometimes blistering heat, have our custom pop-up roofs provided 360-degree viewing. Combined with the specially designed seat configuration, which provides a window seat for every passenger, as well as unfettered access to the photographic hatch, you can rest assured we have taken every measure to ensure no glimpse of a majestic lion, sly croc, whistling bird or bumbling hipo is missed. In addition to the incredible wildlife views, we want to ensure every passenger can hear their expert guide. Their knowledge of the local culture, in-depth animal trivia and passion for the wild is guaranteed to intensify the wonder of your safari experience, so we fit PA systems to guarantee clarity for everyone. Unrivalled Safety Every vehicle in our fleet has extensive safety equipment: seat belts fitted for children and adults; radios and cell phones to ensure 24-hour contact with national park HQ and the Bush 2 City team; and comprehensive first aid kits and fire safety gear. Although the latter is extremely rarely used, your safety is of paramount importance. That’s why vehicles are also checked over prior to every safari by our expert mechanical staff. The nature of safari takes us upon the road less traveled, so occasionally problems do arise. However, we promise that any bumps in your experience will be smoothed swiftly and effectively due to our well-considered contingency plans. Extra Comfort Enabling you to feel safely cocooned in your vehicle whilst experiencing the joys of nature is our main aim with our custom safari fleet. Of course, your comfort is another hugely important factor. The locations we travel through can be hot and dusty, and journeys can be long. This is why we fitted our vehicles with battery-powered fridges for your refreshments and drinks, secondary dust proofing in addition to the standard, binoculars to catch a glimpse of those more timid animals, and 12V plugs for your electricals. With plentiful cold water to quench your thirst and no need to worry about running out of battery, all you need to worry about is getting the photos you want to commemorate your trip of a lifetime.Sort by:
For a few years my wife and I and a couple with whom we have made several trips had talked of a Tanzania Great Migration Safari. Our overall planning concluded that we did not care for a "group" travel model, but wanted a specialized private trip for the four of us that would include classic safari vehicle travel (rather than air travel from lodge to lodge) and high-end "tent" camps with a couple of lodge stays. Research on sites such as tripadvisor led to a smaller company with excellent reviews called Bush2City Adventure.
Jackson Solomon quickly responded to our initial inquiry with extensive information about his company and services, and a range of choices to help narrow our specific desires as to appropriate locations, level and offerings of lodging services, what animals were of most interest, travel times from one area to another, and pace of our game drives. He was patient and provided experienced advice to guide our selections, down to discussion of the attributes we sought in the guide with whom we would spend the ten days out in the "bush". He also provided specific pricing on each option that arose among the selections we were offered. By the time our planning phase was completed we had achieved high confidence that Jackson and his people would deliver a successful and satisfying safari experience.
We travelled with a guide Jackson thought would be a good fit with us, Ally, whom we came to value both as a person and a professional with keen eyesight and deep knowledge of every type of animal and its habits in the wild. He cared for us in all ways to make us comfortable and our experience rich. The "route" had been charted by Jackson to cover the two most likely areas where animals would be found in numbers, based on the variable of where feed was growing dependent on rains, which resulted in a perfect match with our desire for Great Migration herds and the animals' "birthing" season. Babies of all types abounded and gave us photo opportunities one could only hope for.
The tent camps were outstanding, with furniture and indoor plumbing providing great comfort, and beautiful permanent lounge and dining facilities to enjoy views, drinks, and dinners. The staff we encountered were invariably personable and welcoming, with an obvious focus on putting smiles on our faces and attending to all of our needs. (Even the mother Baboon who slipped in behind me when I entered my tent gave me a big smile when I turned and saw her!)
Ally, without prediction or pretension, delighted us with close encounters with scores of animals from the smallest birds and insects to the largest elephants and hungry Nile crocodiles. We scored multiple "checks" on encounters with "The Big Five". From watching close-up a lioness stalk, wait still in the grass, and launch her lightening attack on a small family of zebra walking by, to a huge bull elephant pushing down a tree to bring his food to a handy location, we regularly were amazed at how close and personal our contacts with the "wild" were.
We travel throughout the world and readily admit liking small, personalized travel services - this trip delivered an absolutely satisfying exclusive experience. There is no question of who we will have plan and carry us through our next safari - Jackson Solomon already fills the bill as our capable and reliable old friend for Africa exploration.
My husband, brother and I did the trek up Kilimanjaro last December. We had a great time! Kilimanjaro has such diverse ecosystems at every stage of the mountain, so bring many layers of clothes. I was amazed by the number of different trees and plants you will never see anywhere else. Day-to-day climbing was fun with snacks and tasty meals provided in between. The cabins were surprisingly comfortable with mattresses and bunkbeds. We had all types of weather, so I was glad I brought waterproof boots and raingear as well as winter-ready gear for the top. I found it fun visiting with other climbers at meal times. People come from all over the world to climb Kili, so it's great to hear other people's life experiences. The last day was definitely the most intense and exciting. Hitting the Uhuru peak was magical like another world! My heart felt full seeing many people kneel and pray at the top. It's such a great feeling of accomplishment to reach the summit of the worlds tallest free standing mountain and Africa's highest point! I am so thankful for our wonderful guides, cooks and porters that encouraged us every step of the way and made us feel comfortable. I also appreciated learning about them and life in Tanzania. After we descended we had a nice sit-down bbq and beer lunch in Moshi with our tour crew. We raised our glasses and cheered for the summit- everyone was so happy and excited. We were also interested in some shopping in Moshi for Tanzanite, so our guys found us a great spot with good prices. They escorted us back to our hotel where we visited some more, reminisced about the climb and had the best sleep of our lives! I would recommend Bush 2 City Adventure and the Kilimanjaro trek to anyone looking for a fun and challenging (but attainable) adventure. We also had a chance to do some medical volunteering, see the Maasai Mara Game Reserve and the Island of Zanzibar to make the entire East African experience complete- all amazing options to add to your Kili trip!
