After contacting multiple companies to arrange a two-day safari from Zanzibar, we decided to go with Experience Zanzibar Tours and Safaris due to positive online reviews. With them, we went on a safari to Selous. It was the finest deal with top-notch service. The safari schedule was slightly altered, but we didn't miss anything. Together with them, we also went to Nakupenda and Prison Island. Godfrey, Abrahams, and the drivers they hired did a great job serving us. They have my recommendation.

We had a wonderful holiday trip to Mikumi National Park with Godfrey. We tell him our budget he gives us a good program according . We have done Mikumi one night two days and slept bastian camp, good food / attendants care deeply about customers especially the manager. I will be back again with my family.

This was our second safari with Godfrey and his agency within a month. We were extremely pleased with the organization of the first safari so we relaxedly put ourselves in his hands and made no mistake. Within 4 days we toured the Serengeti and the fascinating great migration of animals that will forever be etched in our memory. Also Ngorongoro crater and its slopes where we visited the Masai village. Every few minutes we were surrounded and close by large groups of wild animals, elephants, lions, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, and we were able to see a leopard as well. A visit to the Masai village was also an experience to remember, visiting school and dancing with them...and the accommodation where we slept was perfect with incredibly good logistics and food in the wild. We are very grateful to Godfrey for making a wonderful and magic tour that we decided on at the last minute. Thank you Godfrey!

Tourists: There are many reliable tourist agencies in Zanzibar. Check with couple of them and finalise. Don't trust this guy!! He charged me for my 2 year old kid for safari but other agencies didn't charge for kid and the adult price was also less that what Mr. Godfrey quoted!! (Similar for other local tours too) By that I was able to save around 350 USD.
# He made me pay for his mistake (Gave incorrect bank details to transfer fund and his bank charged me fees for that)
# He makes fake promises (He promised to pay me the bank charges as it was his error but never paid and didn't respond when asked)
# He is just a cheat (Never agrees his mistakes and tries to make up some stories to hide his mistakes)
# Not at all a true gentleman!! (He just pretends to be polite and gets rude when questioned)
Whatever response he gives for this; never believe that as he is very good in making cooked up stories. I have attached proofs for all points. Read further to understand better and better stay away from Mr. Godfrey & his agency Experience Zanzibar Tours & Safaris

Mr. Godfrey, You promised to transfer amount in November beginning but started avoiding me when asked for amount.
Initially I booked few local tours and day trip to Selous with you and paid USD 65 as an "advance test payment" and agreed to pay remaining once you received the amount successfully.
As the bank details you gave were incorrect, payment got rejected. You acknowledged the same and asked me not to make any further transfers. I still requested for correct details to transfer and also an option to pay on arrival.
Initially you said you booked Selous for us but, later you said they "cancelled the trip/ flight to Selous on 19th completely"!! and asked us to change our dates.
So, based on those two experience, I completely lost trust on you and didn't proceed with you further.
I was expecting my full amount to be returned but your bank charged me fees for transferring with incorrect bank details which was not my fault!!
I'm just a tourist. You are running this business for 20 yrs and you must know your country/bank rules and regulations. Why should I pay the fine for the incorrect details which you gave!!??
Initially in September you agreed to pay me back that bank charges in beginning of November but now not at all responding to my WhatsApp msg, calls, msg on your site, email and avoiding purposely.
Good that I didn't book with you further.

We spent the day in the crater and saw 4 of the big 5. The rhinos at a distance. We saw a leopard the evening before on the drive to our lodge so that made the whole 5.
Amazing place. I hope it never changes.
The highlight was having lions walk past our land cruiser.
The view from the edge of the crater at the lookout is spectacular as well.

It has been a pleasure doing the excursions in the beautiful island of Zanzibar with Godfrey Sawe, and also enjoying Safari in the Bush, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. We have had our great safari 4x4 with open roof, we have seen a lots of wildlife, different culture ,beautiful landscape and many more that no words can express, both our guide Malisa and Saimon the cook were so amazing.
We highly recommend Experience Zanzibar Tours and Safaris.

We did the classic four-day northern circuit safari with Experience Zanzibar tour. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Alexander, was professional, experienced, knowledgeable and speaking fluent English. He shows great respect to animals, which means giving us the best view opportunity possible without disturbing the animals. This is different from some other guides aggressively approach wild animals in order to allow their clients to get as close as possible. I also noticed that Experience Zanzibar Tour's safari cars usually take 2 to 6 clients, instead of jamming many people in one vehicle. Having fewer people definitely helped better viewing of animals and more communication with the guide. 5 star on that.
