About Serengeti Pride Safaris
Serengeti Pride Safaris & Kilimanjaro Climbs provides expert-guided Mount Kilimanjaro climbs and wildlife safaris in Tanzania. We are a small company run by highly trained, dedicated professionals (Tanzanian and American) who are able to personalize your experience in a way that large travel companies cannot. We run our own ground operations in Tanzania, so we take care of your needs from start to finish. We customize trips for the traveler, enabling adventure-seekers to enjoy the trip they’ve always dreamed of.
About our safari vehicles
We use specially modified Toyota Land Cruiser or similar 4 wheel drive vehicles. These have either a pop-up top or a removable top, for wildlife viewing and photography.

SPS & Kilimanjaro Climbs was one of the best experiences in my travels! Well organized and run company. The climb and safaris were planed to the detail. Very reasonable prices. Great accommodations and food. Their guides are top notch and the porters are treated well (all had good shoes and warm clothing in contrast to the porters from some other companies seen on the trail). I did lot of reading and research before I decided to go with SPS so for potential safari travelers and Kilimanjaro climbers just book the trip and you'll never regret it.

Serengeti Pride is an outstanding company! Smaller than many, they give personalized, professional service and are highly thought of by hoteliers. We traveled with our two daughters (ages 12 and 16), and had a fantastic trip. Visiting two different villages was also as exciting as seeing the animals. Additionally, Serengeti Pride helped us to volunteer at Cradle of Love orphanage and to visit the School of St. Jude in Arusha. Fantastic company; great guide.

September 22-September 30 - 8-day Lemosho Route
After training for months, four of us joined four others from the US to attempt this highest peak in Africa. Grueling as it was, we could not have been happier with the experience and with Serengeti Pride Safaris and Kilimanjaro Climbs. The owners, Erika Bloom in the US and Lema Peter in Tanzania, were in frequent touch with us in the months leasing up to the climb, and had everything arranged in Africa so that there were no delays and no surprises when we got there. The pre-climb and post-climb accommodations were very nice, and both gave us the chance to observe wildlife from a close distance (we added a two-day safari in Tarangire Park at the end of the climb). During the 8 days on the mountain, the 48 guides, porters, staff, medic and others who supported the 8 of us were unfailingly cheerful, polite and always at hand to take care of anything we needed. No hiker should go into this trek thinking it will be easy, but it would have been a miserable, if not impossible, climb if not for Serengeti Pride's staff, who always had tents set up when we reached camp, and made sure three warm meals a day were waiting for us. The guides kept us informed of what to expect as we ascended and descended, and were often watching us and grilling us on how we felt, to make sure we were not suffering the effects of acute mountain sickness. The guides and some of the porters were with us every step of the way up and down, slow as we were at times, and were of great assistance at the most difficult parts. We cannot say enough about the wonderful crew and how hard they worked to ensure we summited and realized that dream. The availability of dates for climbs was very good, and the price was competitive with other climb operators. We were also very pleased to see that Serengeti Pride also gives back to the area through support of the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project and projects for local schools and communities. Overall, a great experience and we would unhesitatingly recommend Serengeti Pride Safaris.

SPS was an amazing company to travel with. I did the Kili climb in July 2011 and everybody in our group successfully made the summit. The crew on the mtn were amazing and made the climb enjoyable. They were friendly and helpful. SPS provides more than adequate porters and guides and treats all of their employees with respect. That was one key reason why I decided to go with SPS, and I am very happy I did. My bags were lost by United but SPS was able to gather up enough gear to help the climb and safari go as smooth as possible. The safari was beautiful and we saw a number of different animals that I had only dreamed of seeing prior to my trip. The safari drivers were kind and funny. We visited a school and spent time with the local kids, which might have been the highlight of my trip. Overall, I couldn't be happier with SPS. They do everything to make the trip enjoyable and are willing to provide for their employees, which several other companies do not do. I highly recommend SPS for any adventure you are looking to do!

Our safari was amazing. The crew of SPS were very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They thought of and provided for every little detail . The food and the accommodations were incredible. Our group had also climbed Kili with this company.
Both experiences were ones I will never forget in my lifetime. I highly recommend this company for your African travels, treks and safaris. You will not be disappointed and every trip that you take after this venture will fall short in comparison. :)

I recently returned from a trip to Tanzania, which included an 8-day trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho/Western Breach route with Serengeti Pride Safaris & Kilimanjaro Climbs. I can not begin to say enough good things about this company. The first thing that stood out is their personal attention to their clients, from when they arrive at the airport, to staying in lodges, to the time on the mountain. Their first priority is your health, safety, and happiness. Not only do they treat their clients well, but it is clear that the porters (who are AMAZING and positive people) are treated extremely well and are happy to work for SPS as well. All of this combined to create an experience that I will never forget. I am convinced that if I had gone with another company, my time on the mountain would not have been as great. I STRONGLY recommend Serengeti Pride Safaris if you'd like to have a great hike up Mt. Kilimanjaro!

Serengeti Pride Safaris is an expert, professional, small, local outfitter - providing personal attention to ensure a healthy and beautiful trip to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro. Good food, careful attention to a healthy, nicely paced climb, and - importantly - known for ensuring their porters are well trained, outfitted, and compensated through active participation in KPAP (Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project) while still keeping their costs very reasonable. Instructions to, and care for me were perfect door to door from airport pickup, lodging (pre and post climb), and delivery to my outgoing flights.

With all the details handled seamlessly your attention will be on each step and gorgeous vista up the mountain - as it should be.
