We have developed a selection of safaris throughout East Africa, offering an exceptional experience at unbeatable value. Safari is our priority and we spend considerable funds to make our equipment safe and reliable and our staff is the best-trained in the field. We do not cut corners on safety and services.About our safari vehicles
While the skill and knowledge of safari guide is the most important component of client satisfaction, the comfort and reliability of the safari vehicle is also critical. Simba Safaris has devoted considerable resources to developing our custom 4x4 Land Cruiser safari vehicles. Of course, every traveller gets a window. Every guest is outfitted with binoculars and all the other standard safari practices that Simba has been at the forefront of for nearly 50 years. We continue to refine and upgrade our vehicle design and amenities for client comfort and for a deeper connection to the landscape that draws them here. We ensure the safety and reliability of our vehicles with a rigorous maintenance schedule that includes a 52 point inspection before and after every tour. This work is carried out in our own fully equipped garage by our own qualified and experience mechanics. For next year 2016, I booked my 4th trip with Simba Safaris. Why Simba, very simple, its a very good company and they listen to your whishes. I had some whishes and together with Arif we made the trip. Mails from Holland to Tanzania and back ans also when it was not possible for me I get a honest answer why not. I have problems with walking and needs a scootmobile for longer distances, but also no problem. One chair outof the car, my scootmobile in it. At the lodges I had the room close to the reastaurant, my guide arrened that. The trip was more than marvelous and for next year we did it again. My wishes are translate through Arif (and I think also my guide) in again a wonderful time. I cannot find anything negative. Simba thanks for the more than wnderfull times I had all the times!

I get to make my dream reality. I'm off for 8 days to Tz, walking in Serengeti, Ngorongoro. A dream I have already many years. In the evening I arrive on Kilimanjaro airport and when I come out the departure door I see already my name. I walk to my guide and he takes my luggage and we go to the car and to my first overnight Moivaro lodge.
The next morning we start the safari and Joseph tells me the rules in the parks what to do and more what not to do. First Tarangire NP, lots of elephants. So nice and so big, lots of Thomson gazelle, amazing to see.
Then on to Ngorongoro Crater. Sometimes I can hardly believe I am there. In a few days I have already learned lots about wildlife. I had lots of questions and got all the answers. It's more than amazing. Every day I feel more at home in TZ. I was travelling alone, there was supposed to be an American woman with me but she fell ill and I was travelling alone. I can only say it worked out for the best, as I really enjoyed travelling solo. I can take all the time in the world.
I also like flowers and we look in books for the Latin name otherwise I cannot translate in Dutch. Every evening we look for the names and I write it in my dairy. I can only say, everything was more than marvelous and I never feel unwelcome. Everything was well-arranged: the lodges were very good, my guide was more than good and saw everything, even a Nile monitor lizard in the grass.
When we had the evaluation in Arusha, I could not find one thing that was not ok and I also said, there is so much more to see, that I will come back, which I've already done...twice. I'm coming back again in 2016, again with Joseph.
With the evaluation last year I already said I come back. There are so many other places I will visit, from your site no problem. I contact again the Dutch company and had few question to change in the program. Not easy and so on and after several emails it was possible, no problem. The Dutch company did not like it so much, but we made it happen. Also a wish from me, please can I have the same guide.
When I came on the airport someone else was waiting for me, so I was a bit concerned. When we got to our vehicle and Joseph saw me, his coworker saw that we should have a good time. Traveling alone, I think that more things are possible to do on safari. When you go with others, you have to stop when they want to stop and go when they go, and I don't like that.
I can only say I had a more than wonderful time again and saw so many things I like: people, nature, culture we have been every where. Now again with the evaluation, I hope to come back and during that time you told me its easy to book straight to Simba. Ok.
I had the pleasure of going on a safari to Ngorongoro Crater and I would say that the whole team of Simba Safaris went well beyond our expectations right from the start to finish in every way. Below are a few of the things that stood out.
1) Their booking staff was very attentive and glad to customize my safari experience. Once they knew I was coming with my 2 kids age 4 and 6 they took into consideration the duration of the safari as it should not be too tiring for the youngsters. Unlike the other two tour operators which I was comparing prices with, they were very pushy and all about add-ons to the increase their bottom-line.
2) The Safari guide/driver Henry was simply amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the terrain as well as flora and fauna of the crater. But what blew me away was that he was very kid friendly as I know that my 6 year old can question any person to oblivion and back. Henry was very friendly to him and answered all his curiosities to his satisfaction.
3) I have many more accolades for Simba Safaris but want to keep this short thus I will say this that I have been on many other safaris before but this was above and beyond any other and would highly recommend them.
Once again ASANTE SANA to the entire team of Simba Safaris and hope to book you for my Serengeti Safari in near future.
This is the 4th time I booked with Simba SAFARIS LTD. On this trip, I wanted to see also the migration near the Mara River in Kenya. My wish was to see the migration, go to the David Sheldrick elephant orphanage, go to places in Serengeti Ive not already been to, and go to the Crater. With few mails Tz-NL and back we had the program.
When I arrived in Nairobi, my guide was already waiting for me. Even late in the evening, Nairobi is a very busy city (and lots of traffic). He brought me to the Jacanda Hotel, a very and nice hotel.
Simba works together in Kenia, Centurion has good guide/driver and cars too. With the guide I came to the elephants and the Mara Serena Lodge--beautiful lodge with more than beautiful view. During the first game drive I saw the migration already. Mara is a very nice place to be. From Mara I fly to the border, by bus cross the border and by plane to Lobo, where my TZ guide was waiting. It was the same guide I used the other 3 times who was waiting for me. A hearty welcome of course.
North Serengeti is completely different from the rest of Serengeti and I got to see a pangolin! One of the rarest animals to see. The animal was found near the lodge and my guide came to me, Marian come on a very rare animal, you have to see! Later we also saw a python and of course many of the other animal. I had again a wonderful time and its not to explain but feel complete fine in Tz. The last days i was in Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge, 3th time and last year I got a nice shawl so that there should be something was possible. But now, it looks i am the queen! Very good lodge. On my room flowers, a plate of fruit, a welcome card, and also with dinner as special guest and as desert a big cake with Karibu Marian.
Simba you made my dream again, sure with help from the lodges to and the both very good guides (special in Tz Joseph again) on my request. Hope to make in around 1.5 years to come back for the 5th time!
