All our Safari vehicles are Toyota Landcruiser 4x4s. They have pop-up roofs. The vehicles are serviced and maintained to a very high standard before, during and after every safari. We organized a private climb on Kilimanjaro for a group of 14 old friends. My word, it was a huge challenge but we had enough time back at home to train and prepare before embarking on our journey to Tanzania. Charles was very helpful, answering all our questions and giving us the best tips and advice. After many days of hard toil, laughs, great food and cold nights, we finally made it to the summit. Cheers to the whole team.

We recently enjoyed a one day hike on Kilimanjaro along the Marangu Route. We were staying at Panama Garden Hotel and it took us about 1 hour or so to reach the Marangu Gate where the trek started. We carried packed lunch and enjoyed our hike thanks to our guide Elias. It was great to see Maundi Crater and reach Mandara Hut.
Mount Kilimanjaro has always fascinated us but we could not afford to book a whole 8 day trek using the Lemosho Route, so we opted for a day trek to the stunning Shira Plateau. The hike started off well when Charles and Hamisi, our guide picked us up from Kibo Hotel in Moshi and dropped us off at Londorossi gate where the trek begun. Through Shira Camp to Shira Plateau, this route is very scenic. We also had a nice and clear view of Kibo Peak on Kilimanjaro. What a hike!
We arrived in Moshi to visit some friends and had a couple of days off. So we contacted Tranquil Kilimanjaro to organize a fun day trip for us. They suggested we try a walk to Materuni Waterfalls to refresh since it was a hot and beautiful sunny day. On our way to the waterfalls, they managed to put together a nice cultural visit to the materuni village where we learned how the local Chaggah tribe prepares their coffee from start to finish. We managed to roast the coffee beans, pound them with a huge mortar and pestle and we even made our own cup of coffee. Afterward, we proceeded with our nice dip to the natural pool beneath the waterfalls. Wonderful day trip.
