Kenya Special Safari

Amboseli | Nairobi

Day 1 - Sunday Morning transfer by minibus from Nairobi to Selenkay Conservancy arriving at Porini Amboseli Camp in time for lunch. (Optional flight direct to Selenkay available at a supplement in January to March and July to October). All the big cats have been seen in the Conservancy as well as elephants and a wide range of species including large numbers of giraffes, zebra and antelopes. There are also less common animals which may be seen such as the long-necked gerenuk gazelle, lesser kudu and African wildcat. In the afternoon you will go on a walk escorted by Maasai warriors to visit a nearby Maasai Village where you will get to know more about the way of life of the Maasai people before having a night game drive with a spotlight to seek out the nocturnal animals as you head back to camp in the dark. Dinner and overnight in Porini Amboseli Camp.

Days 3 - Tuesday After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for the early morning flight departing to Wilson Airport where you will be met by a qualified driver guide.  Board the minibus safari vehicle to continue your safari by road through the Great Rift Valley to Sunbird Lodge on the shores of Lake Elementaita.  Take an afternoon walk along the lake shore and overnight at Sunbird Lodge.

Day 5 - Thursday After breakfast, check out and transfer by road to Ol Kinyei Conservancy, arriving for lunch at Porini Mara Camp where you stay for 2 nights. Afternoon game drive in the private Ol Kinyei Conservancy in the camp’s 4x4 safari vehicle with an evening sundowner at a scenic spot followed by a night game drive back to camp for dinner and overnight at Porini Mara Camp.

Nairobi

Day 7 – Saturday Early morning game drive or escorted walk in Ol Kinyei Conservancy followed by breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip for the scheduled flight departing at 11h00 to arrive Wilson Airport at approximately 12h15. Met and transfer to the airport or to a Nairobi hotel (hotel not included but available at a supplement). Alternatively, extend your safari with optional Extra Nights at Porini Mara Camp.
