DAY 1:MARANGU GATE(1860m) TO MANDA
Elevation: 1200 m to 1,750 m to 2,750 m Distance: 9 km Trekking Time: 3 hours Habitat: Montane Forest You will be transferred to Marangu gate from the hotel and do a registration at the gate. Afterwards, you will begins trekking through the rainforest to Mandara hut. Here you will have an acclimatization opportunity of visiting Maundi Crater. Dinner and overnight at Mandara Hut. DAY 2: MANDARA HUT TO HOROMBO HUT.

Elevation:2750 m to 3,807 m Distance:13km. Trekking time: 5-6 hours Habitat: Moorlands After breakfast you will climb the rainforest and continue trekking to Horombo hut where you will trek through rolling moorlands and get your first clear view of towering Kilimanjaro, dinner and overnight at horombo hut. DAY3: HOROMBO HUT-KIBO HUT

After breakfast at horombo hut you will continue ascent through the dwindling heathland that blends into a moonscape as you enter the sweeping saddle connecting Mawenzi and Kibo. Here while we stop for lunch, and later when you cross this surprisingly large saddle, you can examine the summit climb up Kibo that you will be starting in just a few hours. DAY 4:(KIBO HUT94700) –UHURU PEAK

Today is another day early in the morning after breakfast you will ascent around midnight which will be a long journey to reach at uhuru peak, you will be passing through Hans Meyer cave at 5220m, the climb slowly but goes upwards. At the sunrise you will reach Gillman’s point 5681m- at the crater rim of Kilimanjaro; after a further hike of 1-2hours you will reach at uhuru peak 5895m.

DAY5:HOROMBO HUT (3700) TO MARANGU

Early in the mornig after breakfast at horombo hut you will continue descent toward mandara hut2700m, you will pass the tronic rainforest and after a total time of 6 hours trekking you will be back at Kilimanjaro national park gate 1860m.After saying goodbye to your mountain guides, a short transfer follows to take you back to your hotel in Moshi. Once there, you can take a warm and relaxing shower and celebrate your success in reaching the summit of the Kilimanjaro.
