Safari summary
Welcome on an extraordinary 6-day lemosho route journey up Kilimanjaro through the enchanting Lemosho route, hailed as the most magnificent path on the mountain. Offering panoramic vistas in every direction, this newer route stands out as an excellent choice for your ascent.
Our preference for the 6-day Lemosho route is rooted in its winning combination of minimal foot traffic, breathtaking scenery, and a remarkable summit success rate. It has become the top pick for the majority of our clients, who consistently rave about their experience.
The 6-day lemosho route adventure kicks off at Londorossi Gate, situated at an elevation of 2360 meters, featuring a unique far western approach. As you begin your ascent, the route unfolds to the south, encircling Kilimanjaro and guiding you through lush rainforests that house some of the region's most distinctive species.
One of the highlights along the way is the majestic Shira Ridge, the mountain's third summit, adding an extra layer of awe to your climb. The Lemosho route promises an unforgettable journey, and the positive feedback from our clients further underscores its highly recommended status.
It’s perfect for somebody looking to get off the beaten track! The six-day route is for those who don’t have time but who want to avoid the crowds you would find on Machame route or Marangu route.
We generally advise that the best time to climb Kilimanjaro is during the warmest and driest times of year, from December to mid-March and mid-June to the end of October. However, although these are considered to be the best times to climb the mountain in terms of weather, they are also the busiest months.
