Nyerere (Selous)

In the morning, around 7 AM, our driver will pick you up from the airport or hotel and transfer you to Selous National Park. Once you arrive at Nyerere National Park, you will check in at the lodge and have your hot lunch. You will rest for a bit, then you will ride an evening Boat Safari in the Rufiji River for 2-3 hours.. You will see a variety of birds, crocodiles, hippos, and more. Finally, you will have your dinner and an overnight stay at African Safari Camp (or similar).

Game drives are usually the highlights of the safari from the comfort of your 4x4 safari jeep. You will start the game drive early in the morning after breakfast where you will be searching for Hippos, Crocodiles, Lions, Elephants, and more. Nyerere National Park has the world’s largest population of rare African Wild Dogs. Your guide will introduce you to various African wildlife and share their knowledge of the wildlife and their habitats. You will eat your packed lunch box inside the park

Walking safaris are a fantastic way to get close to nature and learn more about the smallest species that you would not have seen when in the jeep or boat. Early in the morning, you will start your walking Safari with an armed ranger and a tour guide for 2 – 3 hours, you will then return to your lodge for a breakfast. After breakfast, you will start your trip to Dar Salaam, with lunch on your way. When you arrive in Dar Es Salaam, you will be dropped off at your hotel/airport.
