Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you'll be greeted by our Rwanda representative and introduced to your driver guide for a city tour of Kigali. Known for its cleanliness, orderliness, and hospitality, Kigali offers a great starting point for exploring Rwanda. The city's cultural activities include award-winning museums, a vibrant music scene, and memorable dining experiences. The tour includes visits to significant sites such as the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, showcasing the events of 1994, Kimironko Market for a taste of local life, and the Inema Arts Center for unique souvenirs. Lunch at the historic Hotel Rwanda precedes a visit to the Campaign Against Genocide Museum. Later, you'll transfer to Volcanoes National Park for gorilla tracking, experiencing the rich ecosystems and spending time with the mountain gorillas. The itinerary also includes a visit to Ibyi Iwacu Cultural Village. The following day involves Golden Monkey Tracking and a return to Kigali for an overnight stay. The journey continues with a transfer to Akagera National Park, home to diverse wildlife, and activities such as a sunset boat ride on Lake Ihema and a night game drive. The penultimate day includes a morning game drive in Akagera's scenic savannah, with a return to Kigali for an overnight stay. Upon reaching Kigali international airport, our Rwanda representative will meet you outside customs and immigration. You'll be introduced to your driver guide, and then embark on your city tour. The city is clean, safe, and offers great cultural activities, including award-winning museums, a vibrant music scene, and memorable dining experiences. The tour includes visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, Kimironko Market, Inema Arts Center, and the Campaign Against Genocide Museum.

Start your day with an early drive to the Volcanoes National Park offices for Gorilla Trekking briefing at 7:00 am. You'll then start your walk at 8:00 am. The park protects the mountain gorilla and diverse ecosystems. Spend an hour with the peaceful gorillas as they go about their daily life. After the trek, transfer back to the Lodge before lunch. In the afternoon, visit Ibyi iwacu cultural village for various cultural experiences. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Early in the morning at 06:00 am you will have breakfast and transfer to the Rwanda development board offices for Golden Monkey Tracking briefing that takes place at 7:00 am.There are two habituated groups of Golden Monkey, one group comprises around 80 – 100 members and has its home at the foot of Mt Sabyinyo. As with treks to see the Mountain Gorillas, treks to see the Golden Monkeys take place in the mornings and visitors are permitted to stay for 1 hour with the monkeys.

This morning after breakfast at you will start the game drive in the southern sector. Known as one of the most scenic savannahs in East Africa, the game drive in Akagera provides you with the opportunity to view gentle hills blending beautifully. You will visit the Giraffe area in the south and the lakes road up towards Birengero. Depending on the time of the game drive you will be able to view most of the game in different parts of the park and exit to drive back to Kigali.
