Early morning pickup at Nairobi airport for drive to Sagana, a small commercial metropolis in Kirinyaga District, Kenya, situated 100 kilometers north of Nairobi along the Nairobi-Nyeri dual carriageway. Named after the Sagana River, it's at the southern foot of Mt. Kenya, with soils formed from volcanic rocks. The area features a growing hospitality industry along the river, offering water sports and tourist sites. Today, enjoy activities like ziplining, kayaking, or rafting.

Drive to Ngare Ndare Forest after breakfast for a picnic lunch. It serves as a vital corridor linking wildlife conservancies and reserves, and is home to over 200 bird species, including migratory and rare birds. Visitors can also spot the big five and other animals, including the elusive colobus monkey. Explore the forest on a 450m-long bridge, ending at a high platform for wildlife viewing. Take a hiking trail to waterfalls and pools, with opportunities for rest and swimming.

A cooperative of over 200 Maasai women from six groups coexist with wildlife through aloe farming, beadwork, beekeeping, and ecotourism. The women plant Aloe secundiflora without chemical fertilizers for agro-tourism and keep bees for honey production. They use the aloe for natural beauty products and all profits go to the community for poverty reduction and sustainable development. 10% of the income supports girls’ education.

After breakfast, visit Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a private game reserve with rare species like Beisa oryx, Rothschild's giraffe, and black rhino. Located in Kenya's Laikipia Plateau, it protects rhinos, elephants, and wildlife, alongside captive chimpanzees in a 300-acre sanctuary.
