Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi

DAY 1: Arrival in Nairobi Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by Sunworld representative and transferred to your town hotel for overnight. If you wish to change money into the local currency it would be advisable if you do it while at the airport. You will then be transferred to your city hotel. Overnight at Nairobi Serena Hotel. (Bed & Breakfast)

Day 2

Nairobi | Samburu

DAY 2: Nairobi – Samburu Game Reserve (flight time approx. 1 hour) After breakfast, check out from your luxury hotel and your driver will transfer you to the domestic airport for your flight to Samburu Game Reserve. From the plane you have a wonderful view of the countryside and can capture the vastness of the reserve. Upon arrival, you will be met and received by the camp’s representative and transferred to the camp, usually with a short game drive en-route, though depending on your preference. After lunch at approx. 1600 Hrs embark on your first shared afternoon game drive. Meals and Overnight at Elephant Bedroom Camp (Ground Package Basis)

Day 3

Samburu

DAY 3-4: Samburu Game Reserve Spend the next 02 days in Samburu Game Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives as per the camps schedule. The reserve located in the north provides a strong contrast to other scenic areas in Kenya. In the desert-like landscape is dominated by the yellow-brown savannah grass, interspersed with acacia trees and thorny bushes. Along the many source pools and rivers that run through the region seasonally, growing gallery forest and doum palms. The rivers are colored brown and invite elephant to swim. You have here the opportunity to spot the rare species such as the Grevy’s Zebra or Gerenuk antelope, which are otherwise not found in Kenya.Meals and overnight at Elephant Bedroom Camp (Ground Package Basis)

Day 5

Masai Mara | Samburu

DAY 5: Samburu Game Reserve - Masai Mara Game Reserve (flight time approx. 2 hours) After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Mara departing at 0830 Hrs to arrive at 1030 Hrs. You will be met by the camps vehicle & guide and then transferred to the intimate Mara Bush Camp with a short game drive en-route. Spend rest of the day in Masai Mara National Reserve with scheduled game drives in Camp where you will have a good chance of seeing herds of buffalo and zebra as well as hippos and lots of bird’s species. Meals and Overnight at Little Mara Bush Camp (Ground Package Basis)

Day 6

Masai Mara

DAY 6-8: Masai Mara Game Reserve Spend the next 03 days in the Mara. As per the camps schedule, you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. You could depart from the camp at 06.30Hrs with picnic breakfast and return to the camp later at around at 10.30Hrs. Alternatively, if you wish to go on an early morning game drive and return to the camp for breakfast it can also be arranged. At 16.00 hrs depart for your second scheduled game drive in the beautiful reserve where you will have a good chance of seeing herds of buffalo and Zebra as well as many other animals and birds and return to the camp for overnight. The Masai Mara is one of the most unique regions of the world with breathtaking scenery of natural beauty. The reserve is home to the world's highest concentration of savannah animals of various species of antelope, about giraffes, buffaloes and elephants to high populations of big cats. Day 9

Nairobi

Day 9: Maasai Mara – Nairobi Your last early morning game drive. Freshen up and check-out from your tent. You will be transferred to the Airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi departing at 1115Hrs. Arrival in Nairobi shortly after noon. On arrival, you will be met by your driver / guide and transfer you to the airport for your flight back home or you may opt for a beach extension. If you have more time to spare we would be happy to offer you a suitable beach extension or a Gorilla trekking extension in Rwanda. END OF SERVICES
