Itinerary
Day 1
Day 1: Arrival into South Africa From the moment you touch down into Johannesburg international airport, you'll be treated as a VIP with our fast track service through customs and immigration and a VIP travel compendium to ensure an effortless safari experience. You'll then fly to Cape Town (not included, best to combine with your international ticket which we can arrange) and road transfer with one of our private drivers to your accommodation. Spend four nights at the owner run boutique The Three Boutique Hotel in a luxury room with breakfast included daily. The area enjoys convenient proximity to the city, the Table Mountain Cableway, as well as the beaches. The narrow little streets are lined by original Cape buildings, many of which have been beautifully restored, some now housing museums and art galleries, as well as lively sidewalk cafés and highly acclaimed restaurants.
Day 2
Days 2 - 4: Cosmopolitan Cape Town Explore Cape Town at leisure. Now known for its trendy and modern vibe, this region is often visited on foot, encompassing the historic parliament buildings, the Company Gardens and the lively café culture and boutiques of Kloof Street. We have multiple small group and private activities and tours that will entice any traveller so ask us for the 'SA with a Difference' document.
Day 5
Kruger
Day 5: Cape Town to Kruger After breakfast, be ready for your private road transfer back to Cape Town Airport in time for your flight to the Hoedspruit (note this only departs Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays). On arrival into Hoedspruit, you'll be met and transferred in private vehicle to Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge* for 3 nights on an exhilarating safari with all meals and twice daily 4x4 safari activities included.
Day 6
Kruger
Days 6 - 7: On safari You are in the ancient elephant route of the Mluwati Concession within the world famous Kruger. Expect outstanding wildlife experiences morning and afternoon.
Day 8
Day 8: Panorama Route Private Tour After your morning game activity and breakfast it's time to check out and meet your private driver/guide for a full day tour known as the Panorama Route. This is an excellent opportunity to see some of Mpumalanga’s most spectacular scenery such as God’s Window, with its spectacular views across the Lowveld, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, with its extraordinary rock formations, the Blyde River Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the World, the famous Three Rondavels and historic Pilgrims Rest (time permitting) where “Wheelbarrow Patterson” discovered gold. Lunch included at renowned Harrie’s Pancakes in Graskop. Arrive late afternoon at Casterbridge Hollow for one night in a standard room with breakfast included.
Day 9
Kruger | Victoria Falls
Day 9: Fly to Livingstone, Victoria Falls After breakfast, it's time to check out and meet our driver for a transfer to the Kruger Airport. Fly to Livingstone (direct flights Monday - Saturday only) and on arrival, clear customs and immigration (visa required and available on arrival for US$50 per person) and collect your bags. Our driver will be waiting in the arrivals hall to transfer you and fellow guests (private transfer available for additional fee) to Waterberry Lodge. Spend two nights in a chalet with all meals, local drinks and one in house activity per day included. You can choose your activities from visits to the Falls, sunset, daytime or dawn river cruise, island picnics, fishing, guided birding, guided village walk and local market visits.
Day 10
Victoria Falls
Day 10: Victoria Falls exploration Day is yours to explore the Falls and take part in the various activities on offer.
Day 11
Chobe
Day 11: Transfer to the Chobe by road Today you're off on your final adventure with a road transfer to Chobe National Park. Please note you will swap vehicles at Kasane Airport and clear customs along the way. On arrival enjoy two nights in a cottage room at the fantastic Muchenje Safari Lodge. Activities at Muchenje include early morning and afternoon game drives, full day game drives, bush game walks, “Night Eyes” game drive, Chobe River cruise and village visits.
Day 12
Chobe
Day 12: Chobe safari adventure Today is yours to enjoy and explore the Chobe. The riverfront is most famous for its large herds of elephant and Cape buffalo, which rely on the river for water during the dry winter months. In some instances, you may see hundreds of elephant at one time, as the road becomes impassable while scores of family herds make their way to the river to drink, bathe and play. One of the most popular activities of this region is to go on a river cruise, where you can experience the game viewing from a different vantage point, accompanied by the unmistakable and spine-chilling call of the Fish Eagle.
Day 13
Chobe
Day 13: Departure day It's time to depart Chobe and transfer by road to Kasane for your flight to Johannesburg. The itinerary ends here.
