Your safari begins with your arrival at Kigali International Airport. A representative from your tour company will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Kigali for check-in, relaxation, and an overnight stay. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore the city’s vibrant markets, local art galleries, and the Genocide Memorial Center.

After breakfast, depart Kigali for Akagera National Park, located approximately 2.5 hours away. Akagera National Park is Rwanda’s only savannah park, home to various wildlife such as lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and hippos. Enjoy a game drive upon arrival, followed by lunch at a lodge inside the park. In the afternoon, embark on a boat ride along Lake Ihema to spot crocodiles, hippos, and various bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
