Day 02

Mount Kenya | Nairobi

DAY 02: Nairobi – Mount Kenya After a hearty breakfast depart on safari in your custom built 4 x 4 Landcruiser with your private and well experienced driver/guide. Pass lush green coffee / tea plantations and the equator on your way to the Mount Kenya Mount Kenya Region. You will arrive at Serena Mountain Lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon you can participate in a guided walk (can be booked upon arrival) or relax in the tree lodge and watch various wildlife from the comfort of your balcony. A beauty salon on the premises offers massages with a view ! Special about Mountain Lodge (tree lodge) is the floodlit waterhole which allows game viewing of nocturnal animals, otherwise hard to spot during the day. Dinner and overnight at the Serena Mountain Lodge. (FB)

Day 03

Mount Kenya | Samburu

DAY 03: Mount Kenya – Samburu Game Reserve After breakfast continue on to the semi-arid desert Reserve of Samburu. Situated in the northern hemisphere of Kenya, this is one the loveliest parks in terms of landscape & wildlife where you will have the chance to see rare animals such as the Grevy Zebra, the long necked Gerenuk, Somali Ostrich, the Reticulated Giraffe and Beisa Oryx.. After lunch enjoy an extensive game drive through the reserve. Dinner and overnight at Samburu Lodge. (FB)

Day 04

Samburu

DAY 04: Samburu Game Reserve Early morning and afternoon games drives in Samburu with a good chance of seeing the “Samburu Big Five” and the elusive Leopard as well as Lion & cheetah. Should you wish to go out at other times or stay out longer, you are free to request your guide for additional game drives and he will be happy to fulfil your wishes. All meals and overnight at Samburu Lodge (FB).

Day 05

Mount Kenya | Samburu

DAY 05: Samburu Game Reserve – Sweetwaters Private Sanctuary Breakfast and en-route game drive out of the reserve. Continue you on to Sweetwaters Private Game Sanctuary situated in the Mount Kenya Region. Arrive in time for lunch at this beautifully located Tented Camp. With a bit of luck you may capture an unprecedented view of the majestic Mount Kenya itself. Afternoon game drive in the Sanctuary which boasts a large number of elephant, giraffe, warthog, buffalo and much more. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp. (FB)

Day 06

DAY 06: Sweetwaters Private Game Sanctuary Spend the day in the Reserve and visit the chimpanzees. It is the only place in Kenya where you can observe these intelligent primates. Walk a little further and you will come face to face with “Morani”, the semi-tame rhino that you can touch ! All meals and overnight at Sweetwaters Tented Camp. (FB)

Day 07

Lake Nakuru

DAY 07: Sweetwaters Game Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park Depart Sweetwaters in the morning for Lake Nakuru National Park, driving past the silhouette of the Aberdare Mountain Range with a brief stop at Thompons’s waterfalls. After a hearty lunch at Flamingo Hill Camp it will be time to go in search of rhino, leopard and lion. The breathtaking scenery is bound to make you realise just how magical Africa is… Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp. (FB)

Day 08

Lake Nakuru

DAY 08: Lake Nakuru National Park You will spend another exciting day in this lovely park. Each game drive offers a new perspective and new sights. Visit the Makalia Falls and enjoy a picnic if you like in the great outdoors instead of having lunch at camp. Dinner and overnight at Flamingo Hill Camp. (FB)

Lake Nakuru

DAY 09: Lake Nakuru National Park – Maasai Mara Game Reserve After breakfast set off for the Maasai Mara Game Reserve which you will reach in time for lunch. Discover the fascinating world of Kenya’s finest game viewing area, consisting of grasslands, savannah woodland and acacia forest. This eco-system contains thousands of animals including buffalo, lion, gnu and many species of antelope. In fact it has the highest concentration of land mammals in Africa. All meals and overnight at Mara Bush Camp. (FB)

Day 10

DAY 10 – 11: Maasai Mara Game Reserve These magical days belong to you !! Enjoy the panoramic views and the bountiful wildlife. For example go on an early morning game drive, have breakfast at the lodge, take a picnic lunch to the Hippo Pools or have enjoy a relaxing Sundowner Safari. The choice is yours and your guide will make it possible. Dinner and overnight at Mara Bush Camp (FB).

Day 12

DAY 12: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Lake Naivasha Your last breakfast in the Mara before you depart with a game drive en-route via the Maasai town of Narok to Lake Naivasha. Arrive at your designated lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon either relax or go for a walk on the wildlife infested Crescent Island, situated in the middle of the fresh water lake. It is quite an experience to walk amongst giraffe, antelope, wildebeest and gives you a new perspective of nature and animals close up on foot. Dinner and overnight at LAKE NAIVASHA COUNTRY CLUB or NAIVASHA SOPA LODGE. (FB)

Day 13

Amboseli | Nairobi

DAY 13: Lake Naivasha – Nairobi – Amboseli National Park Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and a late departure from your lodge. Depart by latest 10.30 hrs & drive along the scenic Great Rift Valley to Nairobi. (stop at view point for photo opportunity) After an early lunch at the Carnivore restaurant where you can sample barbecue meat, continue to the famous Amboseli National Park, situated south of Nairobi. Game drive en-route to your safari lodge. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge. (FB)

Day 14

Amboseli | Kilimanjaro

DAY 14: Amboseli National Park Get up before sunrise in order to get a glimpse of the majestic snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro before setting off on your morning game drive. This is the best time of day to see the mountain and animals of prey hunting. After breakfast you can either relax at the pool or simply set off on another game drive. You will soon realise why this park is known as a paradise for elephants. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge (FB)

Day 15

Amboseli | Kilimanjaro | Tsavo

DAY 15: Amboseli National Park – Tsavo West National Park Breakfast at your lodge and depart by 08.00 hrs for Tsavo West National Park , passing Sheitani, the largest lava flow in the world. Tsavo West is one of the world’s largest National Parks and the landscape is dominated by brick red soil and scenic mountain ranges. Arrive at Kilaguni Serena Lodge in time for lunch. The lodge is built overlooking a large waterhole with panoramic views the nearby Chyulu Hills and Mount Kilimanjaro from a different side. Whilst enjoying a delicious buffet lunch, Serena style, you may be able to see various animals from the terrace. In the afternoon you are invited for your first game drive in the park where the grand looking, endangered Lesser Kudu Antelope is found. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge. (FB)

Day 16

Tsavo

DAY 16: Tsavo West National Park Breakfast at the lodge and then visit the paradise oasis of Mzima Springs. Crocodile and hippo live here and an underwater viewing chamber enables you to look them in the eye. Walk through this green and lush forest and enjoy the coolness of the spring. After lunch we invite you for another game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge. (FB)

Day 17

Nairobi | Tsavo

DAY 17: Tsavo West National Park – Nairobi After breakfast depart for Nairobi to arrive early afternoon. We are happy to take you for some shopping and a late lunch. (payable extra). Depending on your onward programme we can either transfer you to the airport for your domestic flight to the coast should you have booked a beach holiday or to the international airport for your return flight back home.
