Day 2: Machame Gate to Macheme Camp

After breakfast, drive to the Machame Gate where you'll complete park formalities before beginning the trek. The trail ascends through lush rainforest, offering opportunities to spot monkeys, birds, and other wildlife. After approximately 5-7 hours of hiking, you'll arrive at Machame Camp, your first overnight stop.

Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak

The summit day begins in the early hours of the morning, typically around midnight. You'll start the ascent by headlamp, following a steep and rocky trail towards Stella Point, located on the crater rim. From there, it's a final push to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After reaching the summit, you'll descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing down to Millennium Camp, where you'll spend your final night on the mountain.

Day8: Millennium Camp to Mweka Gate

Today marks the final descent from the mountain. You'll descend through the rainforest, retracing your steps along the Mweka Route. After approximately 4-6 hours of hiking, you'll arrive at Mweka Gate, where you'll receive your summit certificates and bid farewell to your guide and porters. From there, you'll be transferred back to your hotel in Arusha for a well-deserved rest and celebration.

Day 9: Depart Tanzania

After breakfast, you'll have some free time to relax or explore the local area before transferring to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. Reflect on your incredible journey and the memories you've made as you say goodbye to Tanzania and begin your journey home.
