Day 2: Nalemoru Gate to Simba Camp

After breakfast, drive to the Nalemoru Gate where you'll complete park formalities before beginning the trek. The trail ascends gradually through lush rainforest, offering glimpses of wildlife and exotic flora. After approximately 3-4 hours of hiking, you'll arrive at Simba Camp, your first overnight stop.

Day 3: Simba Camp to Kikelewa Camp

The trail ascends gradually towards Kibo Hut, your final camp before the summit attempt. After approximately 4-5 hours of hiking, you'll arrive at Kibo Hut, where you'll rest and prepare for the summit bid.

Day 6: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak

The summit day begins in the early hours of the morning, typically around midnight. You'll start the ascent by headlamp, following a steep and rocky trail towards Gilman's Point, located on the crater rim. From there, it's a final push to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After reaching the summit, you'll descend back to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing down to Horombo Hut, where you'll spend the night.

Day 7: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate

Today marks the final descent from the mountain. You'll descend through moorland and rainforest, retracing your steps along the Marangu Route. After approximately 5-6 hours of hiking, you'll arrive at Marangu Gate, where you'll receive your summit certificates and bid farewell to your guide and porters. From there, you'll be transferred back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha for a well-deserved rest and celebration.

Day 8: Depart Tanzania
After breakfast, you'll have some free time to relax or explore the local area before transferring to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. Reflect on your incredible journey and the memories you've made as you say goodbye to Tanzania and begin your journey home.
