Day 1: Arrive in Tanzania

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Meet with your guide for a pre-trek briefing, equipment check, and final preparations.

Day 2: Nalemoru Gate to Simba Camp

Kilimanjaro

After breakfast, drive to the Nalemoru Gate where you'll complete park formalities before beginning the trek. The trail ascends gradually through lush rainforest, offering glimpses of wildlife and exotic flora. After approximately 3-4 hours of hiking, you'll arrive at Simba Camp, your first overnight stop.

Day 3: Simba Camp to Kikelelwa Cave

Today's hike takes you through moorland and heather zones as you gradually gain altitude. You'll pass Second Cave Camp before reaching Kikelelwa Cave Camp, nestled beneath the towering cliffs of Mawenzi.

Today's hike takes you across the lunar-like landscape of the Saddle, a barren plateau between Mawenzi and Kibo peaks. After approximately 5-6 hours of hiking, you'll arrive at Kibo Camp, your final camp before the summit attempt.

Day 7: Kibo Camp to Uhuru Peak

The summit day begins in the early hours of the morning, typically around midnight. You'll start the ascent by headlamp, following a steep and rocky trail towards Stella Point, located on the crater rim. From there, it's a final push to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After reaching the summit, you'll descend back to Kibo Camp for a short rest before continuing down to Horombo Camp, where you'll spend the night.

Day 8: Horombo Camp to Marangu Gate

Today marks the final descent from the mountain. You'll descend through moorland and rainforest, retracing your steps along the Marangu Route. After approximately 5-6 hours of hiking, you'll arrive at Marangu Gate, where you'll receive your summit certificates and bid farewell to your guide and porters. From there, you'll be transferred back to your hotel in Arusha for a well-deserved rest and celebration.

Day 9: Depart Tanzania

After breakfast, you'll have some free time to relax or explore the local area before transferring to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure flight. Reflect on your incredible journey and the memories you've made as you say goodbye to Tanzania and begin your journey home.
