After registration at Londorossi Gate, the trek begins through lush rainforest, with opportunities to spot wildlife such as colobus monkeys. The trail ascends gradually, and after approximately 3-4 hours of hiking, you'll reach Big Tree Camp for overnight camping.

Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp (3,840m/12,598ft) Today's trek involves ascending further across the Shira Plateau, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The trail passes through rocky terrain and giant senecio plants before reaching Shira 2 Camp. This leg of the journey takes approximately 4-6 hours.

As the sun rises, you'll reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. After celebrating your achievement, you'll begin the descent to Mweka Camp for overnight camping.
