Travel to Murchison Falls National

Murchison Falls

Expect your driver guide to pick you up and begin the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will drive through several towns along the way before having a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where the endangered White rhinoceros are bred. You will have a stopover in Masindi for your lunch. It is 2-3 hours’ drive from Masindi town to the park. As you drive through the Budongo Forest, you will come across troops of Baboons, monkeys, and several bird species.

Morning game drive and boat cruise

Have breakfast by 6 am and thereafter and proceed to the wilderness in search of the early morning risers. The morning game drive starts at about 6:30 am, and look out for animals such as; giraffes, lions, hyenas, water bucks, elephants, buffalos, antelope. More species of birds such as; egrets, ibis, shoebill stock, marabou stock, kingfisher, egrets to mention but a few. After the game drive, you may take a packed lunch as you prepare to have an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile River.

Have an early breakfast, and enjoy another morning game drive. Drive to the top of the falls, you will enjoy the powerful Nile as it squeezes through the narrow 7-meter gorge, crushing down 42 feet below, producing thunderous splashes of water, which rises up 10 meters high, it’s such a spectacle to watch the power of nature, proceed to Kampala in the evening.
