Elevation: Starts at 5,400ft and reaches 9,400ft Distance: 11 km Hiking Time: 5-7 hours Habitat: Rain Forest The trek begins with a drive from Moshi to the Machame Gate, passing through the village of Machame. From there, the trail leads through the rainforest, which can be muddy and slippery. Trekkers will ascend up a ridge to reach Machame Camp.
