Itinerary
TO BWINDI NATIONAL PARK
Bwindi Impenetrable
Early morning transfer by road to Bwindi National Park in south western Uganda, passing through the rolling hills of western Uganda, a total of 10 – 11 hrs drive will bring you the home of endangered Mountain Gorillas. You’ll have an en route stop at the equator for photo shots and curio sopping or experiment.
GORILLA TREK/COMMUNITY WALK
Bwindi Impenetrable
You’ll join up with other visitors to make a total of 8 persons per group as required by policy per each gorilla group/family. Trekking gorillas is un-predictable and can be very strenuous due to the hilly terrain. We encourage for your own enjoyment to make sure that you are relatively fit and healthy. On average trekking can take from 2 – 4 hrs, viewing Gorillas is strictly for an hour before you return to the Lodge. We recommend you take at least 2 liters of water and pack some snacks.
TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL
Lake Mburo
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park 6 hrs drive, primarily to break the long journey from Bwindi National Park back to Kampala/Entebbe. You’ll do a game drive on your way into this small 260 square kilometer park which is home to Zebras, topi, eland, klispringer, buffalo, oribi, statunga as well as an excellent variety of water and savannah bird species like crested crane, marabou stork and bronze-tailed starling.
SAFARI WALK/HORSE RIDING
Lake Mburo
OPTIONAL SAFARI WALK/HORSE RIDING You can choose explore this pretty park with a local range on foot or do a horse ride before you head to Kampala/Entebbe.
