Day3- 4: Full Day in the Serengeti with Optional Balloon Safari
The wildebeest migration on the Mara River is one of the most iconic natural events in the animal kingdom, taking place annually as part of the broader Great Migration in East Africa. This event occurs between July and October each year, as millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move in search of fresh grazing lands, crossing from Tanzania's Serengeti National Park into Kenya's Maasai Mara National Reserve.
Alternatively you might want to explore the untouched parts of Serengeti as you casually drift away from the surface of the earth in the early hours of the morning, safe in the basket of a hot air balloon. This is an additional activity if you like to add it then confirm with your safari expert. After breakfast you will proceed to explore the vast savannah of Serengeti in your open roof vehicle with your packed lunch. Take your hat and sunglasses out and enjoy what nature has in store for you.
Day 5: Explore Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Early morning game drive in the Serengeti plains trying to capture what was missed on yesterday’s drive. Enjoy an unforgettable sunrise game drive across the Serengeti and get a chance to appreciate the view as the sun set fire to the savannah while predators such as leopards and lions hunt for their morning meal. Later in the afternoon start heading towards the Ngorongoro conservation area with a game drive en route. Your driver will drive on a different route from the one you did on day two. This drive gives you an opportunity to glimpse what the two world heritage sites have to offer from the golden savannah grasslands of Serengeti to the montane forest of Ngorongoro.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area attracts thousand of tourist to Tanzania each year and it is one of the best places to spot all 5 of Africa's famous mammals like elephants, lions leopards, rhinos and buffalos. Also this Crater is one of the few wildlife reserves in Tanzania that allow human habitation. The Maasai herdsmen are allowed to graze at the rim of the crater or inside during drought, this implies that it is possible to go on an amazing safari that includes and encounter with local Maasai people.
