Safari summary
We are focusing on wildlife on this tour, game drives in National Parks. The idea is to be in the bush all the time and avoid the staying in the city. Mammals and birding, from the day one arrives until leaves. We will only transverse through cities when in transit from one wildlife area to another. The only place we are in town will be the last day before catching a flight. We will stay a minimum of 2 nights in each park to full experience what the area has to offer in terms of wildlife sightings. Listen to wildlife sounds at night when one is sleeping. Talk to nature.

Bwabwata National Park -Mahango
After breakfast, we will drive to the northeastern part of Namibia, with relatively high rainfall. We will explore the Mahango Core Area of the Bwabwata National Park. The park is very small and has a size of only 245 km². Because of lack of surface water, wildlife is mainly found along the Okavango River. The greenery attracts an impressive range of animals including water-loving buffalo, elephant, sable, reedbuck, bushbuck, waterbuck, red lechwe and good numbers of crocodiles and hippo.

Bwabwata- Buffalo Core Area
We will explore the Buffalo Core Area of the Bwabwata National Park. It is 629 km2 and several game species including elephant, buffalo, zebra and wildebeest do seasonal movements. They remain at the Okavango River during the dry season and move inland during the wet season. This seasonal cycle is an important natural mechanism that guarantees that the vegetation structure can be in a resting period during some part of the year.
