This 7-day luxury safari will take you to some of the best game viewing areas in Northern Tanzania. Visit Tarangire National Park, home to huge herds of elephants and giant baobab trees, Serengeti National Park, home to the big cats and the annual wildebeest migration and Ngorongoro Crater for the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephant). Arrival in Arusha

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) which caters for domestic flights, you will be met by an African Big Cats Safaris representative who will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha. Your overnight stay will be at Gran Melia situated at the foothills of Mount Meru in the city of Arusha.

After early breakfast, we will depart for Tarangire National Park. The park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. There are more breeding species of birds found in Tarangire National Park than anywhere else on the planet. After lunch and an extensive game drive, we will head to our accommodation.

You'll have breakfast in the morning then continue with a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing drives. Lake Manyara is, situated between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley. Specifically established to protect the elephant herds that have made the area renowned, the park provides an amazing wildlife experience. Tree climbing lions are occasionally sited. The alkaline Lake Manyara is home to flamingos and over 400 species of birds, hippos will also be sighted.

You’ll have breakfast in the morning after a hearty breakfast and make your way to the famous Serengeti National Park. You’ll have a chance to see some of the Ngorongoro Crater along the way before we reach the Serengeti gate. After lunch, you will head out on an afternoon game drive to look for some of the wild game before sunset and dinner at the Lodge. Main attractions in the Serengeti include the Great Migration, famous grassland plains, and a high number of predators.

Today, you will head out early on your morning game drive for a chance to witness a magnificent African sunrise in the bush. Head out after a cup of coffee and experience the wilderness and its magnificent creatures as they wake up among the dew-covered grasses. Later, you will head back to camp for breakfast and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you will head out once more for another chance to explore the plains in search of the African wildlife as you exit the park.

After an early breakfast, drive out of the Serengeti and on to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of most famous sites with highest density of wildlife in Africa. Its described as an eighth Wonder of the World. There is nowhere else in Africa quite like Ngorongoro! One of the best places in the country to see the endangered black rhinoceros. The park is home to the entirety of the Big Five and is a particularly good place to see lions and Cape buffalo year-round.

Arusha
After breakfast, you will be picked up by your private safari guide from your lodge and drive back to Arusha for last minute shopping and re-packing and lunch. Transfer to the airport to catch your flight back home or a flight to Zanzibar.
