Our Mopane Safari begins in Mana Pools and explorers the shoreline of the National Park up to Chewore. The safari travels 70 km of the impressive Zambezi River. Mana Pools National Park is Zimbabwe’s second World Heritage Site and stretches across 2 000 km2 offering a ambiance which cannot be experienced anywhere else in the world. The Park is a full of game offering 380 bird species and numerous mammals including elephant, buffalo, lion and variety of antelope.

Itinerary
Day One
Natureways collects you at 7:30am for check-in, luggage drop, and a briefing. After shopping for drinks, you head to the river. A relaxed start includes tea, coffee, and biscuits before departing camp at 8am. After reaching Chewore at 10am, gear is loaded for the return to Kariba with lunch en route. At 1:30pm, transfer to Nyamepi, enjoy lunch, a safety briefing, then paddle to Nyamatusi Island for camp, a bath, and dinner.

Day Two
Wake early for tea, coffee, and biscuits before a short morning paddle. Breakfast is served on the riverbank or an island, followed by more canoeing until midday. After lunch and a siesta in the shade, the journey continues through the afternoon. The second night’s camp is set at ‘G’ Camp in the peaceful channels, arriving by early evening.

The programme is as per day two. With the night’s camp being set up at Chewore High Sand Bank.

Day Four
Tea, coffee, and biscuits are taken after a more leisurely start to the day. Following breakfast, camp will be broken, and you will depart at approximately 8am. On arriving at Chewore at 10am, canoes and equipment will be loaded on to the vehicle for the return trip to Kariba – a packed lunch is served enroute. Arrival time in Kariba is approximately 3pm
