Itinerary

Day 01

Nairobi | Samburu

Day 01: Nairobi - Samburu Depart from Nairobi at 0730 Hours heading north through the lush Kikuyu farmlands with coffee, wheat and horticulture farms among other plantations. Pass the Equator and the cool central highlands and descend to the wildlife rich northern savanna woodlands. Arrive in Samburu game reserve in time for lunch and afternoon game drive. Overnight at the lodge (L, D, B)

Day 02

Samburu

Day 02: Samburu Spend the full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game viewing drive included. During the hot day you can choose to visit the local communities living adjacent to this game reserve or relax by the swimming pool. Overnight at the lodge (L, D, and B) Zebra in Aberdares

Day 03

Samburu

Day 03: Samburu – Aberdares Breakfast and drive back to the Central highlands. Arrive in Nyeri town, the provincial administrative center of the central region of Kenya. Check in to either Outspan or Aberdares country club which the base hotels for Treetops and The Ark respectively. After Lunch at 1430 hours you will be transferred to the main hotels in Aberdares National Park. Both The Ark and Treetops are elevated and have balconies that provide good view and photography of wildlife from nearby saltlick/waterhole and open fields. Overnight at the lodge (D, B)

Day 04

Lake Nakuru

Day 04: Aberdares – Lake Nakuru After breakfast, drive via Thomson falls and enter the Great Rift Valley into the flamingo pink Lake Nakuru National Park. Arrive in time for lunch and game viewing drive in the afternoon. Overnight at the lodge (L, D, and B)

Day 05

Masai Mara

Day 05: Nakuru – Masai Mara Depart Nakuru after breakfast and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley and conspicuous Masai land plains into the world famous Masai Mara Game reserve. Arrive in time for lunch and afternoon game viewing drive. Overnight at the lodge (L, D, and B)

Day 06

Masai Mara

Day 06: Masai Mara Full day in the game reserve with morning and afternoon game viewing drives. Depending on the weather and animal pattern, a full day drive with picnic lunch can be an option. Overnight at the lodge (L, D, and B)
