Safari summary

The safari starts upon your arrival at Entebbe airport. Here you will be welcomed and driven to your lodge. The next day is a drive to Murchison falls national park where you will do a number of activities for 2 days before you check out for Kibale Forest national park. Here you will also experience 2 days of activity and later proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park for 3 days. The third day is spent in Ishasha sector the southern part of the park famous for tree-climbing lions.

The next stop is Lake Bunyonyi and gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest. You will have a day to relax around the beautiful lake where you may choose optional activities. Thence forth you will head to Ruhengeri in Rwanda from where you may opt to trek Gorillas or do other activities in Virunga national park. The second last day of your trip will be spent in Gisenyi near Lake Kivu where you will visit a local market. On the final day you will drive to Kigali and visit the Genocide memorial before proceeding to the airport to catch your flight back home.

Day 1

Day 1: ARRIVAL ENTEBBE On arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and after finalization of the formalities, you shall be welcomed by your guide, who will then drive you to your hotel. Accommodation: Airport Guesthouse Entebbe Meal Plan: -, -, D

Day 2

Murchison Falls

Day 2: RHINOS AND MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK After breakfast you shall start your tour. Driving through Kampala, you shall proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here you shall have a walking Safari to the Southern White Rhinos that have been re-introduced in Uganda. In the afternoon, drive to the legendary Murchison Falls, from which the National park derives its name. Accommodation: Murchison River Lodge Meal plan: B, -, D

Day 3

Day 3: GAME DRIVE AND BOAT RIDE. After breakfast you shall go for an early Morning game drive. The trip takes you through beautiful landscapes made up of savannah grasslands down to the delta point in search of Lions, Leopards, Hyenas, Buffalo, Elephant and several antelope as well as Bird species. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on the River Nile to the bottom of Murchison falls. Enjoy these spectacular experiences by hiking to the top of the falls. Kibale | Murchison Falls

DAY 5: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND BIGODI PAPYRUS After Breakfast you shall proceed to Kibale Forest for chimpanzee trekking. In the afternoon, you have the opportunity for a nature walk in the Bigodi Swamp as well as a community visit. Accommodation: Kluge’s Guest Farm Meal plan: B, -, D

DAY 6: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK (QENP) After breakfast you will drive today to the world-famous Queen Elizabeth National Park, crossing the equator along the way. You shall have an evening game drive upon entry. Accommodation: Enganzi Lodge Meal plan: B, -, D

DAY 7: GAME DRIVE AND BOAT RIDE You start the day with an exciting early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, famously known as one of the World’s National Parks with the highest Bio-diversity of Flora and Fauna. In the afternoon, take the amazing Launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel, revealing hundreds of Hippo as well as numerous Bird species some of which are seasonal "immigrants" from Europe. DAY 8: ISHASHA’s TREE CLIMBING LIONS After Breakfast you shall drive to Ishasha, the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy the African wildlife in indescribable scenery. DAY 9: TRIP TO LAKE BUNYONYI Today you start your journey to one of the most beautiful places in Uganda; Lake Bunyonyi which means a place with "many small birds. Day 10

DAY 10: GORILLA TREKKING This morning you will get up very early to prepare for the upcoming gorilla trekking. Trekking the Moutain Gorilla is one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. The trek will take between 2 and 6 hours, but is well worth the effort. You will be led by an experienced ranger who will tell you interesting facts about flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. Accommodation: Bird’s Nest Resort Meal plan: B, -, D

Day 11

DAY 11: RELAXING AT LAKE BUNYONYI You shall have an exciting boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi. In the afternoon you may choose between different activities; a Canoe boat ride, a swim in the Bilharzia free lake, you may also explore a nearby village. Virunga | Volcanoes

DAY 13: ACTIVITIES IN VIRUNGA Lake Kivu ( Optional 2nd Gorilla Trekking) The volcanic chain "Virunga" is a breathtaking beauty of old volcanoes rising almost 5000 meters, completely covered by dense, green rainforest.” You shall chose an activity to undertake;- Trek the Mountain Gorillas in Volcanoes National Park, Hike the 3,711 m high Mt Bisoke, or visit the grave of the famous gorilla researcher Dian Fossey or visit habituated Golden monkeys. In the afternoon, you shall leave Ruhengeri and proceed south to Gisenyi on Lake Kivu. You will take a walk through the fashionable lakeside resort, as well as to the border post with DR Congo. Day 14

DAY 14: DRIVE TO KIGALI AND DEPARTURE Today, you will drive to the capital of Rwanda in Kigali. Enjoy the beautiful scenery on the way. Upon your arrival in Kigali for a city tour, you will visit the Genocide Museum in the suburb Gisozi. In the evening depart for the Airport and take your flight back home.
