Day 1 Beira - Gorongosa National Park On arrival in Beira you will be met and transferred by road into Gorongosa National Park. The park is wild and rugged, and truly unspoiled, with spectacular scenery, so enjoy your first impressions! You will stay for the next five nights on safari at Explore Gorongosa.

Day 2

Gorongosa

Day 2 Gorongosa National Park Gorongosa offers a fascinating opportunity to see a huge national park in the process of being restored to its former glory. On your game-viewing activities you will see fabulous birdlife, antelope, plains game, and elephants. The predators are here too, but, are harder to spot.

Day 3

Day 3 Gorongosa National Park Day on safari. You will be taken on game drives and walking safaris to explore this incredible national park.

Day 6

Day 6 Gorongosa National Park - Beira - Pemba - Quirimba Archipelago Today, you will be transferred by road to Beira airport to meet your connecting flight to Pemba. On arrival, you will be met by a representative and escorted to your light aircraft for your transfer across to Ibo Island. This tiny island is steeped in the colonial history of Mozambique, with crumbling colonial architecture and an old fort looking out over the sea.

Day 7

Day 7 Quirimba Archipelago Day at leisure. Included in your stay is an historical tour of this wonderful island, maybe take advantage of this today.

Day 8

Day 8 Quirimba Archipelago You will transferred by boat across to Guludo today. Rest of the day at leisure. Guludo is located on a golden beach on the mainland. This wonderful lodge is a true responsible tourism project, involving and empowering the local community.

Day 9

Day 9 Quirimba Archipelago Day at leisure. Included in your stay are non motorized activities, dhow cruises, bush walks, village walks so maybe try one of these today or take the time to just relax.

Day 10

Day 10 Quirimba Archipelago Day at leisure; extra activities include diving, picnics on nearby sand islands, and Rolas Island.

Day 11

Day 11 Quirimba Archipelago Day at leisure - enjoy your last day.

Day 12

Day 12 Quirimba Archipelago Today you will leave Guludo and transfer by road from to Pemba airport. (approximately a three-hour drive). This is an interesting journey as you will pass through local villages and the Quirimba National Park.
