Itinerary
Day 1
Nairobi | Tsavo
DAY 1 - THE EAST EXPERIENCE (HOME TO THE “RED ELEPHANTS” OF KENYA) Dept. from Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park: Famous and home to some of the largest herds of elephant in Kenya, the elephants glow red after dust baths, blowing the vivid red dust through their trunks over their bodies, large prides of lion are sighted regularly and another great sight is the spectacular herds of up to 1000 Bufallo. .Ashnil Aruba Lodge, will be the place your home during your “East Experience”. Built as a sport fishing recreational point in the park since and located on the banks of Aruba Dam. Several watering holes nearby attract wildlife and spotting animals is easy because the park lies flat with savannah grassland. The Safaris Sundowner is a perfect way to end the day in the bush where you can relax and watch the sun slowly set as you take an ice cold cocktail. Arrangement to be made in advance.
Day 2
DAY 2 –
Day 3
Tsavo
DAY 3 : THE WEST EXPERIENCE After a hearty breakfast you will be transferred to Tsavo West National Park. It has several landmarks; The most iconic attraction in the park is Mzima Springs. The crystal-clear water of this chain of lakes is filtered through the volcanic rocks of the Chyulu Hills. The lakes swarm with fish, large crocodiles and some big pods of hippos. Underwater viewing chamber can provide unique photo opportunities like the swimming-walking style of a hippo. The Shetani Lava Flow is the largest of a whole series of lava flows in the park, with several places where you can get out of your vehicle and stretch your legs, including a series of lava caves below the surface. Over the last couple of decades, the presence of visitors has gradually put off the wildlife from entering but the caves, and the all the lava flows still have a slightly spooky atmosphere – the Shetani Lava Flow is named after the Swahili for devil. Chaimu Crater, is a nature trail where, again, you can leave your safari vehicle and hike – though it’s best to do this early in the morning if you want to do the 30-minute hike to the summit as the heat on the cinder track becomes brutal as the sun rises. When you get to the top, you have superb 360-degree views of the Developed Area. Rhodesian Hill, Kichwa Tembo and Ngulia which have some dramatic steep slopes and cliffs, but there are no easy ways to get to the top of them, without organizing a special bush hike accompanied by KWS rangers well in advance. Poacher's Lookout where visitors can see the teeming herds in the plains below. It also offers some of the most magnificent game viewing in the world and attractions include elephant, rhino, Hippos, lions, cheetah, leopards, Buffalos, diverse plant and bird species. Rosolo safaris aims at making the “west experience” more engaging in terms of participation by the individuals. So carry your boots and sportswear and get ready for different hands on experiences. Return Back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
