Itinerary

Day 1

Hwange

Day 1-3: Hwange, Home of the Big Five You will start this journey by meeting your driver who will transfer you to Hwange National Park, where you will meet your guide from Miombo. You will be staying in a thatched chalet at Miombo Safari Camp on a fully inclusive basis. Over the next few days you will immerse yourself in authentic African safari. Morning and evening game drives allow you to capture excellent photos of large elephant and buffalo herds, as well as great chances of seeing lion, leopard, cheetah and a multitude of other plains game and bird species. During your stay you will also visit the Painted (wild) dog center run by volunteers.

Day 4

Hwange

Day 4-5: Hwange to Lake Kariba, Water Wilderness From Miombo you will be transferred to Hwange Airport for your air transfer in a light aircraft to the edge of the vast inland water wilderness of Lake Kariba. Once landed you will be met by your guide who will take you on a boat transfer to Spurwing Island. You will be staying in a cabin or well equipped tent on a full board basis. At Spurwing island you will spend the next few days either soaking up incredible vistas, fishing for the fighting tiger-fish, enjoying a land or water based safari experience or simply relaxing in magical surrounds.

Day 6

Victoria Falls

Day 6-7: Lake Kariba to Victoria Falls, Natural Wonder After 2 nights relaxing on the lake, you will be flown back in a light aircraft to Victoria Falls, the last stop of your journey in Zimbabwe. Victoria Falls is the adventure capital of Africa. You won't be far from the falls themselves and you will have time to enjoy the buzz of this exciting resort town, which is surrounded by its own wilderness and safari areas. There are numerous activities available and we recommend to book these in advance. You will be staying at The Kingdom Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.
