Day 1

Lower Zambezi | Zambezi

Day 1-4: The Magic of Lower Zambezi Upon your arrival at Lusaka airport, your pilot will await you and take you to the domestic terminal for a private light aircraft flight to the Baines River Camp where you will be staying on an all inclusive basis. This true colonial style safari lodge, named after the famous artist and explorer Thomas Baines, offers a wide variety of activities in and around the Lower Zambezi National Park, including specialized photographic workshops, fly fishing clinics, elephant studies and birding weeks, each hosted by internationally renowned expert guides who are passionate about the African bush and their subject. There is a wide variety of activities that you can experience in the Lower Zambezi due to being water and land-based, Activities rang from boat cruises, fishing, canoeing, birding to game drives, game walks and platform sits, great for up and close photographic opportunities of wildlife. Baines caters according to your preference and you won't have a rigid safari program as they believe that one should balance relaxation and activities.

Day 5

Day 5-7: Cruise in Style on Lake Kariba From Baines River Camp you will travel by road to Kariba whereby you board the MV Matusadona - the most luxurious cruiser on Lake Kariba. Spend your days in style on this vessel that is like no other. You will be waited on hand and foot while cruising the and simply feel at one with nature. The gentle lapping of waves, the frequent grunt of the hippos, the distant lion’s roar, the cough of a leopard, the eerie cry of the Fish Eagle and all the attendant sounds of Africa – you’re in the real bush whilst cocooned in the lap of luxury. The vessel has various speed-boats and a pontoon especially geared for water-based game viewing. Activities include, fishing, birding, game viewing and sun-downer cruises. Your stay on-board is on a fully inclusive basis.

Day 8

Hwange | Victoria Falls

Day 8: Fly the Length of the Lake to Victoria Falls You will moor in the harbour of Bumi Hills where a vehicle will meet you and take you to the nearby airstrip for yet another scenic flight via Hwange National Safari park to Victoria Falls. This journey ends here but you might like to add on a few more destinations.
