Itinerary

Day 1

Day 1: Johannesburg to Khama Rhino Sanctuary, Botswana Your Botswana camping safari departs Johannesburg at 06:30am and heads north into Botswana and the Khama Rhino Sanctuary. This reserve is situated on the Kalahari sandveld and boasts numerous waterholes frequented by White Rhino, Zebra and Wildebeest. The Khama Rhino Sanctuary Trust is a community based wildlife initiative established in 1992 and helps in saving the endangered Rhino and restoring the area into its former glory. This project also provides economic benefits to the local Botswana community through tourism and sustainable use of natural resources. Lunch and dinner is included.

Day 2

Okavango Delta

Day 2: Maun, Botswana Today you drive through the central Kalahari to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Maun is a bustling town situated on the banks of the Thamalakane River. After setting up your camp for the night, you enjoy a lovely afternoon of swimming and relaxing. Breakfast and lunch is included.

Day 3

Okavango Delta

Days 3 - 5: Okavango Delta, Botswana Today your local guides will take you deep into the heart of the Okavango Delta in mokoros (dug out canoe). The Delta is home to an abundance of wildlife including Red Lechwe, Sitatunga, Elephant, Wild Dog, Buffalo, Lion and many other mammal and bird species. You will camp wild for the night on a remote island teeming with wildlife. Here you can enjoy game walks, bird watching, learning about the local culture and swimming. You return to Maun on

Day 5

Days 6 & 7: Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana Moremi Game Reserve is one of the leading wildlife areas of the world and game viewing in this area proves breathtaking. The grasslands, floodplains, forests, lily lagoons and winding water channels combine to form a variety of game viewing habitats. Here you will spend 2 exciting days on game drives in search of Wild Dog, Elephant, Hippo, Buffalo, Lion and other game. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included.
