Safari summary

Day 01: Arrival Nairobi

Arrival Nairobi and you will be transferred to Nairobi city hotel- Overnight T Serena Hotel on BB (Dinner payable direct)

Day 02: Nairobi –Maasai Mara

Transfer to JKIA to connect flight Nairobi-Entebbe, arrival for city tour, transfer to Kampala for overnight at Kampala Serena Hotel on BB (Dinner payable direct)

Day 03: Entebbe –Bwindi
After breakfast-fly to Bwindi National Park located in south western part of Uganda along the DR. Congo border next to Virunga Mountains Park and on the edge of Albertine rift.Its a home to various species including over 214 species of birds and 120 species of mammals. It’s also a home to mountain gorillas and some other endangered species like the L’hoest monkeys, Africa elephant’s etc.Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort Bwindi on LDBB
Day 04: Gorilla Tracking

You will rise relatively early for a jovial breakfast to give you the energy needed for gorilla tracking. Report to the ranger station at 08.00 am where the guides will take you through the forest, slashing at the undergrowth, to track gorillas. This trek can take from half an hour to five hours therefore, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as a sturdy pair of walking shoes. On top of that, there are other animals and birds which you could see on the way. You will spend only one hour with the gorillas as you listen, watch and marvel at them. It is amazing, for one to be in audience with these giants and think they would attack you. However, these gentle giants as they are known don’t attack anybody unless they are threatened, and sometimes, they tease you by jumping up and down and hitting their chests to scare you and see what your reaction would be. Under the circumstances, it is advisable not to look at them directly into their eyes, but look down and don’t show any jocular actions that may be interpreted as an attack to them, keep silence and talk in small tones. And after one hour, they will leave you where you are or your guide will tell you when to depart. If you have the afternoon free, we could walk to the water fall nearby or you can take a guided village amongst the locals. Dinner and overnight as above.

Day 05: Bwindi - Kampala- Nairobi
After breakfast, transfer to Entebbe fly to Nairobi. Transfer to Eka Hotel on BB
Day 06: Nairobi –Lake Nakuru
Depart to Lake Nakuru National Park arrive for game drives, Lunch at the Camp and afternoon game drive until evening. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.Overnight:Sarova Lion Hill Camp LDBB
Day 07: Lake Nakuru-Maasai Mara
After breakfast depart for Maasai Mara arriving in time for lunch at Sarova Mara Camp. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Sarova Mara Camp LDB
Day 08 & Day 09: Maasai Mara

The two days will be spent in Mara National Reserve with early morning and afternoon game drive.Masai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries, and punctuated by marshes and forests. Certainly the most frequented game reserve in Kenya, this 650 sq kilometer reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere. During the seasonal migrations, Masai Mara is home to up to a million wildebeest and an equally impressive number of zebras that move into the area from neighboring Serengeti National Park, in Tanzania. The reserve is home to all the “big five” and it is also possible to observe; baboon, eland, ostrich, bat-eared fox, jackal and cheetah. The rivers abound with hippos and crocodiles.All meals at the camp. Overnight: Sarova Mara Camp LDBB

Day 10: Maasai Mara -Isebania-Serengeti

After breakfast, drive from Kenya to Tanzania border-exchange vehicle and proceed to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. You will have packed lunch on the way arrive evening for safari game drives in Serengeti. Dinner and overnight –Sopa Lodge LDBB

Day 11: Serengeti

Full day game drives in the plains of Serengeti. All meals and overnight at Sopa Lodge LDBB

Day 12: Serengeti- Ngorongoro

After breakfast, game safari until lunch time in Serengeti. After lunch drive to Ngorongoro-Optional visit Olduvai gorge.Arrive for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro-Sopa Lodge FB
Day 13: Ngorongoro
Breakfast; visit the Ngorongoro Crater Rim with picnic lunch for a full day game drives.Dinner and overnight at-Bougainvillea Lodge LDBB
Day 14: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara
After breakfast,drive to Lk Manyara for safari game drives.Meals and overnight at –Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge LDBB
Day 15: Lake Manyara – Namanga –Amboseli
After breakfast,drive to Kenya and Tanzania border (Namanga)-exchange vehicles and proceed to Amboseli National Park in Kenya.Drive for lunch at Amboseli Serena Lodge ,afternoon safari game drive in Amboseli National Park.Dinner and overnight Amboseli Serena Lodge..
Day 16: Amboseli-Taita Hills
Early morning safari game drives in the magnificent Amboseli park right on the foot of Mt Kilimanjaro the highest mountain in Africa. Early morning there is a chance of spotting its mountain Kilimanjaro snows. Drive to the lodge for breakfast after which exit the Amboseli park and drive to Taita Hills Sanctuary.Arrive for lunch at Taita Hills Sarova Salt Lick. Afternoon game drives in the Taita Hills Sactuary.Dinner and overnight –at Taita Hills Sarova Salt Lick.

Day 17: Taita Hills- Nairobi

Early morning game drives after which drive to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast drive to Nairobi and transferred to the airport for your scheduled departure flight
