Day 1: Windhoek-Solitaire/Sesriem

Namib-Naukluft

Windhoek depart at 14h00 for a scenic drive to your accommodation; both located 35 kilometres south of Solitaire. The journey takes you to the Namib-Naukluft National Park via the spectacular Spreetshoogte Pass; one of Namibia’s steepest and most scenic mountain passes. Stopover at a small settlement in Solitaire for refreshments and snacks (your own cost). Continue to the Sossusvlei region, enjoying the tranquil desert ambience as the sun is setting.

Day 2: Sossusvlei

Namib-Naukluft

We explore the wonders of the magical Sossusvlei. This includes climbing Big Daddy which is the highest sand dune in the world. The view from the top is spectacular and worth the effort of the fairly steep climb. You’ll also visit the forest of ancient camelthorn trees found in the world-renowned Dead Vlei. They are probably the most photographed features in Sossusvlei. Your journey continues to the rugged Sesriem Canyon,with a glorious sunset drive through the silent desert back to your lodge

Day 3: Solitaire/Sesriem-Windhoek

Wake up to a gorgeous desert morning and enjoy a delicious breakfast. Depart for Windhoek mid-morning, travelling via the Remhoogte Pass. It’s not as steep as the Spreetshoogte Pass but just as striking. Arrive in Windhoek at approximately 12h30. Scheduled flights departing Windhoek should be booked leaving late afternoon in case of an unplanned delay on the return trip.
