Day 1

Touch down at Port Elizabeth International Airport where you dedicated Jumbari Family Safari representative will be ready to welcome you to South Africa. A 70-minute scenic drive will take you into the Eastern Cape countryside for the start of your South Africa lion safari. Day 3

Visit the Born Free Big Cat Sanctuaries at Shamwari. The sanctuaries focus on promoting the conservation of the species as well as the protection of their natural habitat. Visit King at the Jean Byrd Big Cat Rescue Centre and Sanctuary in the north of the reserve and learn more about his success story.

Day 4

Addo Elephant

After your morning game drive and a hearty breakfast at the lodge, your driver will be ready to transfer you to Addo Elephant National Park, an hour and 20 minutes away. The eco-friendly Kuzuko Lodge is located on a hilltop and boasts breath-taking views of the Koboega plains and Winterberg Mountains. Check-in into your chalet and unwind at the lodge’s infinity pool or Wellness Centre. Kuzuko Lodge is ideal for families and features a spacious family lounge as well as a kids playground.

Addo Elephant National Park is home to the Big 5, as well as Sylvester the wandering lion. Sylvester is known for escaping the Karoo National Park twice and was rescued and relocated to his new home. He now is the father of two cubs which can be found in the Kuzuko Reserve.
