Safari summary
While on this short Murchison falls tour, you won’t miss to encounter the Nile Crocodile, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes and a variety of antelopes regularly encountered on game drives, while lions are seen with increasing frequency. The Nile itself hosts one of Africa’s densest hippos and crocodile populations & a dazzling variety of water birds including the world’s most accessible wild population of the rare shoe-bill. The Stretch of the Victoria Nile provides one of Uganda’s most remarkable wildlife spectacles. You get to see the Nile squeeze through a 7 – 8 meter wide gorge plunging with a thunderous roar into the “Devil’s Cauldron” creating a trademark rainbow. There is a chance to land a massive catch of the Nile perch which lives within strong currents and highly oxygenated water. En-route to this park before Masindi town, there is a chance to go track Rhinos at the Ziwa Sanctuary which will be re-introduced back into the wild soon.
