Amboseli National park is at an altitude of about 1200m – 1400m and beautifully situated beneath the foot of Africa’s highest mountain (5895m), the majestic snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro, Amboseli has Large herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, giraffes, lions, and a variety of other animals and birds all of which are attracted to this park due to its permanent supply of water that filters through the volcanic rock from Mt. Kilimanjaro melting snow. The park is also home to the Masai people, those tall, brave, and proud nomads who live in close harmony with the environment and the wildlife that surrounds them. Masai warriors are famously known as the proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world a visit reveals the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Amboseli was the location around which such famous writers like Sir Ernest Hemingway and Robert Ruark tailored their stories of big game hunting in the wilds of Africa.

Day 1

Amboseli

Day 1: Pick up at the airport or hotel and drive to Amboseli National Park arriving for lunch, home to the Masai people, their cattle and lots of wildlife located in the park. Afternoon game drive Dinner and overnight at AA Amboseli Lodge* or Kibo Safari Camp** or Amboseli Serena Lodge*** (LD)

Day 2

Amboseli | Kilimanjaro

Day 2: Morning breakfast at the tented camp after which you will head out with your picnic lunch boxes for full day game drive with occasional view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. All meals and overnight at AA Amboseli Lodge* or Kibo Safari Camp** or Amboseli Serena Lodge*** (FB)

Day 3

Nairobi

Day 3: Have an early morning game drive at sunrise then return to the camp for late breakfast. Thereafter depart for Nairobi where your safari ends with drop off at your Nairobi Hotel or airport.
