Itinerary
Day 1
Queen Elizabeth
Day 1: Queen Elizabeth NP From your hotel our guide will pick you up and set out to the western region of the country to Queen Elizabeth national park. Stop at the Equator to take photos. Past the western rift valley, you will move down into the escarpment with magnificent views of Lake George and Lake Edward through the plains of the park filled with game. You may see different wild animals like big groups of Buffaloes, numerous antelopes, Uganda kobs and Elephants while on your drive to the Mweya lodge or the Jacana safari Lodge were you will dine and spend the night.
Day 2
Queen Elizabeth
Day 2: Queen Elizabeth NP Today you will have an early morning drive through the park for game viewing in one of the world’s finest biosphere reserve in order to catch up with the early risers and the night predators returning from their hunt. it is a great chance to see the leopards, waterbucks, lions, buffaloes, elephants and many more. Have lunch at the lodge and later go for a launch boat ride down the Kazinga channel water perimeter were animals come to drink water and is home to perhaps the biggest population of hippos in Africa. Have dinner and sleep at Mweya lodge or the Jacana safari lodge.
Day 3
Queen Elizabeth
Day 3: Queen Elizabeth NP You will yet again set out for a further early start game viewing drive in the park. You will drive to the Ishasha area located in the southern part of the park to have an opportunity to marvel at the prominent tree climbing lions relaxing on fig trees waiting for prey. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the the southern wilderness of the rest camps and later proceed with a game drive that will lead you back to the Mweya peninsula. You will visit the remarkable katwe salt works were people mine salt from the salty lake to observe the traditional methods of mining salt used by the natives and later head to the Mweya lodge or to Jacana safari lodge for dinner and the rest of the night.
Day 4
Day 4: Lake Bunyonyi Start the day with a game drive, check out of your lodge and later drive to the stunning lake Bunyonyi found in the “little Switzerland of Africa”. You will observe the beautiful terraced lands of Kabale in this cold region. Sun bathing, bird watching and swimming are the other exciting activities. Embark on a canoe to row around the different islands on the lake. Have lunch and continue exploring the islands, later unwind at the lodge where you will dine and spend the night. Dinner and overnight at Mweya/Jacana
Day 5
Lake Mburo
Day 5: Bunyonyi- Lake Mburo NP Early today, before reaching the lower thorny and savannah-scrub lands of the spectacular lake Mburo National park, you will drive through winding and engaging roads and through the countryside dotted with lakes. You will then observe different wild life like the buffaloes, zebras, Uganda kobs and many other species in the attractive park. Take an evening game drive through the park after lunch before having dinner and the rest of the night at the lodge.
Day 6
Lake Mburo
Day 6: Lake Mburo NP Take a game drive early prior to your breakfast, in the park which is dominated by acacia. Then take a walk with a guide to see close to four distinct animal species as they lick salt from the surrounding salty soils. Before lunch, take a boat trip on Lake Mburo and later enjoy your lunch. Drive to Kampala where you will reach in the evening for dinner and accommodation at any Kampala hotel of your choice.
Day 7
Day 7: Entebbe On the way to Entebbe after your breakfast, we will have stop over at a tropical forest called Ziika found along the Kampala to Entebbe highway. Drive to the Botanical Beach in Entebbe, and visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Center in the afternoon. While at the Uganda wildlife education centre, you will view many of the existing animals in Uganda from a very close range. You will later dine and spend the night in one of Entebbe’s hotels.
Day 8
Day 8: Ngamba Islands You will board a boat after having breakfast to Ngamba Island were you will see chimpanzees. You are free to get the pleasure of playing with our closest relatives and even feed them. In the mid-afternoon you will have lunch before returning to Entebbe. END THE SAFARI
