This is a fully serviced 3 days camping safari. On this tour your professional guide will pick you from your hotel/lodge and you will drive out of Maun for 2 hours depending on the site you will be using to a mokoro station, there you will meet your polers with their mokoro ready to take you out on your Safari. The mokoro is a dug out canoe which is used as a mode of transport by the locals in the Okavango delta and Chobe areas. On this Safari you are going to camp on an island where you will be also conducting walking Safaris with your guide. All meals will be cooked on open fire by a camp chef. Bucket showers and long drop toilets will be used.

Itinerary

Maun-Okavango delta transfers

Moremi | Okavango Delta

You will be picked from your hotel/lodge by your professional guide for the transfer by road to the mokoro station where, you will be picked by a mokoro to transfer you to the island where you will be camping for 2 nights. After afternoon tea, go out for a walk on the island with your guide. Back to camp after sunset in time for a shower. Dinner at 20:00 and sit around the bush fire after dinner for your bush stories till you are ready for bed.

Moremi | Okavango Delta

Wake up at 06:00 and have breakfast at 06:30. Start the mokoro excursions at 07:00 where you will be experiencing the waterways of the Okavango delta. On this activity you may have a chance to see elephants, red lenchwe, sitatunga which is a very rare aquatic antelope, lots of water birds and many more. You will have your lunch on an island and back to camp in the afternoon. Time for showers and sun downer drinks. Dinner at 20:00 then, sit around the fire after dinner till you ready for bed.
