Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover for a Rhino walk at Ziwa and lunch en-route. Murchison Falls National park one of the oldest parks in Uganda, was first gazetted as a game reserve in 1926, with over 76 species of mammals and 451 species of birds. It is also bisected by the Victoria Nile which 45m over the remnant rift valley wall, creating the spectacular Murchison Falls. Early morning game drive in the park searching for the major species like; elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, kobs, on a lucky day even lions and Leopards can be sited. After lunch go for an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of falls where you will disembark and take a hike to the top of falls. Morning Chimpanzee Tracking starts at 7am with a briefing at Kanyanchu, an advance team tracks the chimps and communicates with your team on radio call. Tracking can last for 2 to 4 hours depending on how far the chimps could be feeding. After chimp tacking, have lunch at the lodge before a afternoon swamp walking experience in Bigodi Swamp; a community 4.5km 3 hours trail with bird species like great blue Turacos, Hornbills, Kingfishers and primates. Drive to Bwindi forest with a morning game drive in the Ishasha plains searching for tree climbing lions also to increase your chances of seeing the endangered big cats including the leopard. Depending on how lucky you are, you may come in sight with the big cats, before transferring to Bwindi Gorilla Park arriving for lunch relax at the lodge contemplating on the Gorilla Trekking adventure the next morning. Gorilla trekking starts at 8am after a briefing, you will trek through the dense steep forest searching for gorillas depending on where they were last sighted the previous evening. Trekking can last 2-7 hours depending on how soon you find the gorillas, and can be a tasking adventure, but coming to a facial close-up with these Apes is a reward worthy to earn. Early morning birding in Bwindi Impenetrable forest, return to the lodge for breakfast and drive Southwards to Lake Bunyonyi. Located in southwestern Uganda is believed to be the second deepest lake in Africa, at 1,962m a.b.s.l. The lake has 29 islands which give a beautiful scenery a canoe experience is ideal, and a habitat to several species of birds hence its name Lake Bunyonyi, Meaning a lake of small birds.
