Transfer from Kigali Airport/Hotel

Volcanoes

Today you will be met by a representative of Big Apes Africa and drive to Musanze Town near Volcanoes in preparation for Golden monkey trekking the next day. Should you arrive in plenty of time, you may do a short city tour before leaving the beautiful clean City by visiting the crafts market and the Genocide memorial.

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point of Volacanoes National park to get to be enlightened about your adventure with the Mountain Gorillas. You are advised to carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. After the briefing, you are distributed into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest where you will spend one hour with the gentle giants. . After tracking, you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National park for a briefing before entering the forest to search for the bamboo associated primates. Some consider this as the next best thing after gorilla trekking. You will be allowed one hour with these beautiful Albertine rift endemics. Immediately after the activity, you will be transferred back to Kigali International Airport where you will embark on your return journey!
