Itinerary
Day 01

Day 02
Amboseli | Kilimanjaro | Nairobi
DAY 02: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park car with roof tent Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and depart thereafter for Amboseli National Park, driving through the scenic southern part of Kenya towards the Kenya – Tanzania border, Namanga. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the way to your campsite with your first exciting game drive in the park. Whilst your chef is setting up camp we invite you for another game drive afterwards in this beautiful park, famous for its large elephant herds. Arid looking as Amboseli is, it has, historically, supported both game and the Masai that kept their herds of cattle here. It is thanks to the waters that run off Africa's greatest mountain that the apparently dry Amboseli, Kenya's first game sanctuary is able to support its wildlife. Mount Kilimanjaro broods high over Amboseli, generally cloaked by clouds but appearing in all its snow-shrouded magnificence from time to time. The mountain now provides water for the park, wonderful views and, of course, the most glorious background for animal photography. Return to the camp for a freshly prepared dinner under the stars & overnight in your roof tent or ground tent. (FB)
Day 03

You may opt for an additional game drive after breakfast to visit the swamp with its magnificent wildlife present all day long or simply relax at camp and take in the African wilderness. Afternoon game drive in anticipation of seeing the “BIG FIVE”. Dinner, prepared by your chef, and overnight in your roof tent or ground tent. (FB) Baboon (Picture: Michael Nikolai)

After setting camp your guide will take you out for your first a game drive within the park. Originally declared a National Park because of a superbly diverse bird population, which includes many migrants, Lake Nakuru is also a favorite place for travelers to seek the rare black rhino. However, it is for the flamingos that the lake is best known, that turn the lake into a gorgeous rosy pink. With a bit of luck you may find Buffalo, zebra, antelope and both lion and the elusive leopard. Temptingly, the black rhino-breeding programme, started in the late eighties, has proved successful and this is an excellent place to view them. Day 07
Lake Nakuru
DAY 07: Lake Nakuru National Park – Maasai Mara Game Reserve After an early breakfast set off for the highlight of your trip, the world famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve . Picnic lunch en-route to the reserve driving past extinct volcanoes on the bottom of the Rift Valley floor. Enjoy a game drive en-route to your camp where you might encounter some of the “Big Five” and you will most certainly be impressed by the wide variety of species present in this area. Day 08
DAYS 08 - 09: Maasai Mara Game Reserve Sunrise in the Maasai Mara Spend two more exciting days with unlimited game drives exploring the Mara, home to the proud and traditional Maasai tribe. We can arrange a visit to a local Maasai Village if you like. (@ extra cost) The Mara is more than just the most popular wildlife park in the country, in many cases it is the reason why people come to visit Kenya. This is a classic African savanna, and the sheer density of wildlife is amazing. Gazelle, wildebeest and zebra graze in large numbers and where prey is found so are predators. Watered by the Mara River and its tributary the Talek, the park here compromises 1510 sq kilometres of open grassland tucked away in the south west corner of the country. In the Mara you will see an astonishing amount of wild life, including the big cats, where lions are found in large prides everywhere and it is not uncommon to see them hunting. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot, but are still fairly common. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos also exist in large numbers. All meals will be prepared in camp. Overnight in your roof tent or ground tent. (FB)
Day 10
Nairobi
DAY 10: Maasai Mara Game Reserve – Nairobi Enjoy your last early morning game drive before returning to camp for breakfast. Afterwards depart from the Mara paradise and head for Nairobi. A picnic lunch will be offered on the way. Arrive in Nairobi at approx. 1600hrs. Should there still be time before your flight you might like to visit the Karen Blixen Museum or do a sightseeing tour of Nairobi or enjoy a meal at any restaurant of your choice. Transfer afterwards for your international / domestic onward flight (a night in Nairobi can be arranged at extra cost), ending what we hope was a memorable safari to Kenya!
