Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Mikumi

The trip from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi will take roughly 7 hours with a buffet lunch in Morogoro. Mikumi National Park, with scenic landscapes, few visitors and abundance of species offers you a chance of game viewing before you enter the park gate. Animals cross the highway. We will take you to visit the Masai tribe, where you will immerse yourself in daily life of one of the oldest ethnic groups. Enjoy a well-deserved dinner, and call it a day in your authentic lodge or tented camp.

Day 2: Game drive in the Park

Mikumi

During your full day game drive in Mikumi National Park, you will spot a variety of African wildlife, including herds of buffalo, giraffes, zebras and elephants in the savannah. You may also spot predators such as lions, leopards and hyenas. In addition, Mikumi is a paradise for birdwatching. You will have your picnic lunch under a mighty baobab tree. You will stay overnight at a lodge located inside the national park, allowing you to experience the sounds of the African night.

Day 3: Mikumi – Dar es Salaam

Wake up to the incredible views of Mikumi National Park, and continue your game drive, exploring different areas of the park and searching for more wildlife. Morning hours are the most promising for an incredible game viewing, as you will witness the awakening of the wilderness! After well-spent morning game drive, you will head back to Dar es Salaam with a lunch along the way.
