Transfer to Lake Mburo NP

Bwindi Impenetrable | Lake Mburo

We hope your flight is scheduled for an early (before 14:00) landing at Entebbe Airport. Upon arrival, you will be received by the assigned English-speaking Professional Tour Driver-guide who will welcome you into the Pearl of Africa. Thereafter, you will hit the road for a transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Depending on your arrival time, you will reach Mburo between the early afternoon hours and late evening hours.

Enjoy your breakfast as early as possible then proceed for an exciting morning game drive in the park. Expect to see the gigantic eland antelope, zebras in big numbers, topi, impalas, Buffaloes and other savannah animals. Alternatively, you may choose the morning bush/park walk (at extra cost USD 30 pp) in the presence of an armed ranger-guide. You will return to your accommodation then check out and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable NP.

Have breakfast and move to the rangers’ post. You will receive some briefing on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence.
