Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Kisoro

Bwindi Impenetrable

Take your flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kihihi Airstrip. Upon arrival, your guide will pick you up and take you to your lodge where you can check in to your honeymoon suite and freshen up. In the afternoon, you will head to Batwa for a community tour. Witness some traditional dancing and singing and catch a glimpse of their fascinating lives as you experience some of their culture. Enjoy some of their age-old story telling before driving back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

Bwindi Impenetrable

After breakfast, you will head off into the famous Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in search for the magnificent mountain gorillas of Uganda. The gorillas you will track down belong to one of the nine habituated family groups who tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day. Sit in silence and observe these amazing gentle giants for one hour before heading back to the lodge for lunch, a massage and a relaxed evening among the sounds of the forest.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth

Enjoy breakfast before leaving the reserve and making your way to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through the Ishasha Sector for a chance to see the famous tree-climbing lions. If you are lucky, you will be able to see the lions perched in a fig tree, keeping an eye out for the antelopes that roam the area. Have a picnic lunch along the Ishasha River while watching hundreds of hippos wallowing in the water before making your way to the northern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 4: Game Viewing- Boat Cruise

After breakfast, go for morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, which form part of the vast Savannah of the Albertine Rift Valley in the Queen Elizabeth. You can expect to encounter the big cats and various other antelopes. In the afternoon head out for boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. Here you will be able to enjoy a different game viewing experience as you float past the animals that have come to drink. In the evening you will make your way back to the lodge for some dinner.

Day 5: Transfer to Kibale

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park and enjoy an en-route stop at the equator line for a chance to take some photos. Proceed to Fort Portal, traveling through the foothills of the Mountains of the Moon and enjoy a traditional African lunch. Thereafter continue to your honeymoon room in the Kibale National Park and enjoy a relaxed evening at a private table with some cocktails and a delicious dinner.

Day 6: Chimpanzee Trekking

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the park’s headquarter for a pre-trek briefing and then begin your hike into the forest as you search for the famous chimps. Once you find them, you will be able to spend an hour with the group, watching them as they climb the trees, play and interact with one another and witness their fascinating behaviors while listening to the sounds of the jungle around you. In the evening you will have the chance to enjoy an optional coffee tour before dinner.

Day 7: Transfer to Murchison Falls

After an early breakfast, you will drive to Murchison Falls National Park with an en-route lunch stop in Hoima Town. After lunch you will take a ferry crossing and arrive at the park in the afternoon. Enjoy the beautiful scenery upon your arrival as you make your way to your lodge. If you are lucky, you might see some of the elephants before enjoying some sunset drinks by the pool as you overlook the Albert Nile.

Day 8: Game Viewing -Boat Cruise

Murchison Falls

After breakfast, you will head out on morning game drive towards the delta to experience some of the spectacular wildlife in the reserve including the big cats and giraffes. In the afternoon you will set out for the boat cruise on the Nile and make your way to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. Keep your eyes peeled for the beautiful bird life, including the iconic African fish eagle. Return to camp and proceed for a honeymoon sundowner safari enjoying some drinks and snacks before sunset.

Day 9: Transfer to Kampala

Enjoy breakfast. Checkout and drive to the top of the Murchison Falls for the chance to see the Nile squeeze through a 7 meter wide gorge creating an impressive display of power as the water thunders down for 45 meters. Stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, allowing you to get close to the rhinos. Witness the beauty of these African unicorns while walking for about an hour. Later you will proceed to Kampala where you will check in to your honeymoon suite and enjoy your final dinner of the safari.

Day 10: Departure

Murchison Falls

Enjoy some breakfast before heading towards Entebbe International Airport, with an en-route stop at one of the villages, depending on the time of your flight. Take some last minute photos and soak up some African culture before the end of your safari. Catch your flight, returning home with amazing memories of your honeymoon, ready to start your new life together.
